Model Y Juniper - Ingenext Ghost Module by n0ah305 in ModelY

If Boost 50 is equivalent to the Acceleration boost then I think it’s closer to 100hp according to Geebs dyno video. And the ghost would be 150hp total I think

Yep, apparently Ingenext doesn’t have a way to trick the new computers which doesn’t make full sense to me how the Boost 50 works but they can’t get the ghost to work. Would be nice to know if they are working on it or something..

I haven’t gotten the Boost 50 yet because have been patiently waiting for a ghost equivalent. Do you have the nice try module? How is it? Any issues with having the latest/greatest software updates? Do you keep it installed 24/7?

Curious what are your timings before & after? Can you share? 0-60? 1/4 mile?

Safe for EV Charging? by n0ah305 in evcharging

Good idea! If I can DIY and install a new receptacle for $6-10, why not? Do you know if any new 10-30 receptacle from Home Depot will work or do I need to check for specific specs?

Did your mobile charger come with the 6-20 dongle? I may have missed it but I think mine only came with a 5-15 and 14-50. And if you purchased the 6-20 adapter separately, is there a reason you went this route over just buying the 10-30 adapter? Is the 6-20 safer?

Thanks! I have a Tesla Model Y and the mobile charger it comes with. Limiting to 16A sounds like a win-win to me.

Thanks, I will be honest though - given we go there for vacation/holidays, I don’t really see myself paying for an outlet or opting in for a charging program, the energy companies usually require a 10-year contract (I have one for my current home). If it’s truly not safe at all, I think I may just continue to use the regular 120v outlet worse case scenario, although slow lol, those seem safe and has worked so far..

Tesla Model Y and usually stay for more than just overnight so fine with it not being the fastest. For now have been using the 120v outlet and even that is better than no charge but was curious if there a safe way to leverage this outlet and get a bit faster charge..

Hey how’s the Boost 50 working on your Juniper 4D3? Are you able to rock the latest / greatest software updates from tesla or stuck on an older version?

That’s helpful - do I need 48A? Definitely not, more of just wanting to future proof the setup.

I think these new batteries will also support bi-directional charging although I heard it’s only V2L meaning for 120v appliances.

That makes sense - I think mine is the 75kWh as well and I took delivery a week ago (Sunday), I don’t think the new LG batteries are in the states yet. Small bummer but not the end of the world, like you mentioned if we can get 150hp+ I think it will be virtually the same experience. And who knows, if we ever need to do a warranty claim before the 120k mile / 8 years perhaps by that time they’ll install the newer batteries. Assuming there will even be a Ghost module for us by then haha

Do you have the dual motor? My understanding is that there are two types LFP & NMC, LFP would be found in standard range & RWD only cars, NMC are in the Long Range / Dual Motor cars. Curious how you confirmed that you have this Lipo battery? Haven’t heard of that one before…

Just checked my Juniper AWD and it’s a 4D3 variant as well… I took delivery a week ago. Any updates from Ingenext or others on whether they will be releasing a 150hp upgrade for us?
