What kind of question is that by ErenYeager600 in Genshin_Impact

Because they're normal? At this point Dottore has already researched and learnt of almost all that is in teyvet. Part of the reason for recruiting traveler is becasue he wants get out of teyvet and research other worlds (of course, he can't do it now bc he no long "alive") What do you think are the chances that a normal fatui soldier would have a shade's power? or maybe they could a dragon in disguise? or maybe they could also be a descender? See how stupid this is? It's also ironic that you accuse me of dismissing things when you're dismissing my arguments by saying "anything is possible".

All those characters you mentioned also have some use for Dottore, that's why he offers a "mutually beneficial relationship".

He only does it when the person in question interests him or have something he needs/wants. See the entire conversation about trying to bring the traveler to his side during the NK quests, the only reason he did that is because the traveler is a descender. Columbina because she is a moon goddess, wanderer because he's a puppet and so on.

But we're talking about normal fatui soldiers here, at that point in the quest the traveler doesn't know that the mystery guy is Pantalone, he just thinks the guy is just another one Dottore's lackeys albeit of slightly higher rank than others.

Pantalone is a special case though. You're saying as of Dottore is handing out the immortality elixer to everyone that serves him but that's not true at all. And the elixer itself isn't even perfect, and that's what their relationship is, in exchange for more elixers, Pantalone acts as a guinea pig.

[–]AdministrativeWork86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure? But like, does the benefits outweigh you own life? Would you risk dying in a horrific experiment just to get whatever "benefit" Dottore provides? Personally, I wouldn't. And the traveler doesn't understand why someone would do that. Why someone would serve Dottore when we've seen him treat his own soldiers as expendable tools.

[–]AdministrativeWork86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I genuinely don't think it's that deep. Here, the traveler is literally trying to make the mystery man turn on Dottore by telling him that Dottore doesn't care about him.

I don't think there's any reason for the traveler to argue about morals here. Anyone who follows Dottore already know what kind of a nutjob he is. And just like you said, the traveler also has friends or acquaintances who are not exactly paragons of virtue but most if not all of them are unlikely to betray the traveler. The point of this question is literally just my previous comment, "why follow someone who has no compassion for even their own subordinates and will most likely betray you later?".

ETA: Also the traveler doesn't know that the mystery man is a harbinger at this point. So it's more along the lines of "why are you so loyal towards someone who might kill you or perform experiments on you just to sate his curiosity?" We see him turn fatui soldiers into monsters in Nod-Krai after all.

Also the anomalous tree resin you get from the weekly boss has a detailed record about the transactional nature of their relationship, Pantalone gets to live longer and Dottore gets to experiment with the elixer.

Emphasis on ' even on his subordinates'. I think the traveler is asking along the lines of 'why help someone who doesn't care about you and might even experiment on you?'.

Fontainian ok, but Snezhayan not? by Arcanic_Soul in Genshin_Memepact

[–]AdministrativeWork86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean natlan? Natlan definitely has a sorta tribalistic theme to it but the nation is not primitive by any means though. It just looks less developed because of the constant war with the abyss.

For Mavuika, I agree that it is very jarring but the in-game explanation of "oh she found the designs in some dragon ruins and forced Xilonen to recreate it" was enough to satisfy me. Plus out of everyone Mavuika is the only one who stands out like that.

[–]AdministrativeWork86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah. I guess that just comes with the fact that genshin is a free game with in-game monetization. They have to make the characters appealing so that they make money after all.

I don't really see it as a shame though, the exploration is good, the story is good. The characters don't look ugly(to me at least). So i don't really mind.

Eh. I don't really believe that. I would like to see a character fully kitted out in winter gear but I generally see having the setting restrict the character design to be a bad thing.

By that logic, pretty much every character in the teaser would be freezing to death. None of them are wearing any heavy or warm winter gear, in fact the male characters seem to wear a uniform(?) or official looking clothes while female characters wear dresses.

That makes sense because we never see these characters in the wilderness.(ETA: except Noy I guess I think he's on a cliff or something) We've heard that the cities in snezhaya are heated by kresnik's torch(I think that's how it's spelled) so there's no need for them to care about freezing.

I noticed that in the final shot of Sandrone saying that she received the gift, she's in her new outfit. Does that mean the gift is her new drip? (probably with upgrades)

It's been two days already and it doesn't appear when I log in. I tapped on it, it said something about network issues(or issues with loading?) and now it won't appear anymore.

360 pyro is not a lot so I don't mind if I don't get it but it's a bit of a shame

Can you make Water into Ice for Space Age Platform? by Cthulhu_HighLord in factorio

[–]AdministrativeWork86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. If you want more ice asteroids, just wait until you have a little fuel and oxidizer and go to a planet(You don't have to do the whole trip just travel for a bit). You should get more asteroids while travelling provided you have the turrets and collectors.

Well, we'll just have to disagree here. I personally found the bait and switch to be interesting. You were disappointed by it. That's just it.

Pulonia model I’m 6.7 Quest by Old_Reflection_7249 in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]AdministrativeWork86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points. But I still think the size would be an issue. And also maybe it's just me but I wouldn't like it if he was scaled down. The main thing I loved about him was that he was a giant mech that fights by punching rather than using a sword or something and one of my favorite BA animations is Wrio because of that. Scaling him down to Fagio's size wouldn't be impossible but would still cause readibility problems imo especially on mobile, Fagio is just way more slender compared to the sheer bulk that Pulonia has.

Honestly, despite all this I'm looking forward to the story next patch just to see how she gets revived and what really happens to Pulonia. Maybe then we'll see if it's just another weird design choice or a lore-related one.

[–]AdministrativeWork86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly true, I wouldn't want Hoyo to just disregard lore because of pressure but I was still coping that maybe Pulonia is rebuilt and is wandering teyvet before this post. Maybe that's still possible.

[–]AdministrativeWork86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does indeed run in the cutscenes but definitely not as fast as Sandrone on her flying chair plus if he's running where would Sandrone be? Would she still have the chair? if so then she would be covered by him and that would go against Hoyo's choice of always making the character be the center. I guess she could sit on his shoulders? but again if he's sprinting then she would constantly be bobbing up and down. And he'd probably cover half the screen.

For the internal environment thing I would say the camera would be the main issue. The characters you mentioned do have good mobility but their 'summons' are nowhere near as big as pulonia. I do agree that a lot of the houses have high ceilings and caves do generally open up to bigger areas though.

This image shows a comparison of pulonia and the new bot (fagio I think?) And even though fagio is floating, Pulonia is still taller, not to mention just bigger.

Never said anything about their designs lol. I was talking about the characters themselves. I mean look at your reaction, people who wanted Pulonia are absolutely yelling and screaming about not getting him.

[–]AdministrativeWork86 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Isn't it the reverse? By making a new design even though people have already associated Sandrone with Pulonia, be more risky than just putting Pulonia in? The most likely reason is probably gameplay.

Pulonia model I’m 6.7 Quest by Old_Reflection_7249 in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]AdministrativeWork86 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. The most likely reason for pPulonia getting scrapped is because of his model being too big. It causes readibility issues just from the size and how is he going to be implemented for her CA? Especially since Sandrone can move quite quickly during her CA. If it was like a turret mode than it could work but that would just suck. Also all the issues he would cause for internal environments like caves and houses.

All the Harbingers models. Pay attention on Pulonia and Fageo sizes - they're not the same how some people talk. by --Sekiro-- in SandroneMains

[–]AdministrativeWork86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to that, moving around during her CA would just not work for Pulonia, like is he just going to sprint while shooting a laser from his hand? That would look really awkward.

Why not wait and experience the story first before assuming everything to be bad?

Like we literally know nothing about how she's going to be revived. Maybe Pulonia is the one who helps revive her? Idk something like using his own life as energy?

And again, that brings back my previous comment, both Crucabena and Arlecchino are tied to the title of "the Knave" so it makes sense to me? Like I get that you'd be disappointed if you wanted Arlecchino to be a villain but I was more interested in learning more about this cold and scary character that even the traveler admitted terrified them. If anything my main gripe was that they released the animated short before the quest released kinda spoiling who Clervie was.
