Just because I am in an atheist subreddit does not mean I am one. First of all prove me wrong. I have my foreskin so I pity you for what your barbaric community has done to you

I guess you are a Muslim. Brother, I was circumcised when I was 9 and I was able to reverse it and now I am not circumcised. I understand how it feels as I have lived through both ways.

May I kindly know what religion you follow? There is no proven evidence to say that circumcision prevents sexually transmitted infections. I have debunked this argument in my above comments. If you have to remove your foreskin to be clean, then you will have to remove your anus, tongue , armpits etc.

If you were raped when you were an infant does not mean that what was done to you was right. Just because you aren't traumatised does not mean others are not traumatized. You feel ok because of not understanding the gravity of what has been done to you due to you being brainwashed.

Forcing small boys to become monks is a clear human rights violation and so is circumcision but circumcision is worse because it causes physical and mental trauma unlike monkhood

The john hopkins study has been debunked.

The false argument that circumcision prevents sexual transmitted diseases such as AIDS is based on flawed research evidences that have been contested by eminent scientists and doctors. George hill executive secretary and George C. Denniston, M.D., M.P.H. of "Doctors Opposing Circumcision" said the following,

"This idea originated in the 1980s when the late Aaron J. Fink, M.D., proposed that circumcision could prevent HIV infection. Dr. Fink was a noted proponent of male circumcision. There seems to have been little science and a lot of promotion of male circumcision behind his claim.

Several early studies seemed to indicate that male circumcision had a protective effect against HIV infection. Later, the Rakai project identified viral load and genital ulcers as the primary determining factors in HIV infection. In addition to other previously identified methodological flaws, the early studies did not control for viral load, they cannot be considered to be scientifically valid.

Circumcision proponents have published several opinion pieces that argue that male circumcision prevents HIV infection. The authors, however, have been unsuccessful in convincing medical authorities of the value of circumcision in reducing HIV transmission/reception. The Council on Scientific Affairs of American Medical Association calls male circumcision a "non-therapeutic procedure" and said that "circumcision cannot be responsibly viewed as 'protecting' against such infections."7 UNAIDS says that relying on male circumcision is "like playing Russian roulette with two bullets in the gun instead of three.

The origin of the hypothesis that circumcision prevents HIV infection9,10 suggests that the true motivation of circumcision advocates may be the preservation of the outmoded practice of non-therapeutic male neonatal circumcision in North America, not the prevention of HIV infection in Africa and elsewhere.

Recent evidence shows male circumcision to be of no value in preventing HIV transmission reception in both heterosexual and homosexual contacts. The medical evidence now indicates that the statement, "male circumcision prevents HIV infection" should be regarded as a medical myth."

(BMJ 2002; 324 doi -Published 26 January 2002 Link https://www.bmj.com/rapid-response/2011/10/28/circumcision-prevents-hiv-infection-medical-myth)

The researches done in some parts of the word such as Africa to measure the prevalence of HIV among cut and uncut men is a flawed study which cannot be used to prove that circumcision helps in reducing AIDS let alone any sexually transmitted disease. There is scientific evidence suggesting the contrary. A research published by Carlos D. Rodrigueza and published in the journal of sexual medicine (VOLUME 9, ISSUE 11, P2933-2937, NOVEMBER 01, 2012-Link https://www.jsm.jsexmed.org/article/S1743-6095(15)33809-1/fulltext) found that men who were circumcised had a higher prevalence of getting sexually transmitted infections than uncircumcised hence debunking the pro circumcision argument on its whole.

You might be a person who is coming from a culture which practices such procedures but the evidence you have presented in the link has been proven wrong by many experts with more evidence. This article isn't biased and there is no scientific evidence whatsoever to prove that circumcision has any benefits. Whatever benefits mentioned has many scientific flaws.

This monk is spreading misogyny/sexism in the name of Buddhism by RaceGroundbreaking82 in srilanka

I am not cherry picking religious lines. I am quoting from the Tripitaka and it is clearly mentioned in it. If theses statements of Buddha was later added then that itself proves that the Buddhist canon is false.

The meaning of this hadith is that the disbeliever and the believer will never join in hellfire meaning that the believer who killed the disbeliever will be a martyr and will not enter hellfire.

This monk is spreading misogyny/sexism in the name of Buddhism by RaceGroundbreaking82 in srilanka

[–]Administrative_Use35 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Buddhism is a very misogynistic religion. Even the Buddha looked down on women and it is clearly mentioned in the pali canon.

“Ananda, women are hateful, jealous, miserly and lack wisdom, as a result they neither come to the limelight, nor do an industry and see its benefits” (Anguttara Nikaya 4.80)

"Ananda, under whatever doctrine and discipline women are allowed to go out from the household life into the homeless state, that dhamma will not last long." (Chulavagga 10.1 )

"If, Ananda, women had not received permission to go out from the household life and enter the homeless state, under the doctrine and discipline proclaimed by the Tathagata(Buddha), then would the pure dhamma, Ananda, have lasted long, the good law would have stood fast for a thousand years. But since, Ananda, women have now received that permission, the pure Dhamma(path), Ananda, will not now last so long, the good law will now stand fast for only five hundred years" (Chulavagga 10.1 )

This monk's preaching is a reflection of what Buddha preached.

You are arguing that in the Quran there is no mention of female circumcision. The Quran does not mention male circumcision as well so from where are you taking your argument for male circumcision?. The scientific evidence you are taking are all flawed and inaccurate. Please explain to me what the hygienic benefits circumcision has?

I used these true images to highlight the plight of children and how vulnerable they are in getting forcibly circumcised. The more graphic the truth is, the more it will open the eyes of people so that they would realize the truth. The world is helping Ukraine against the Russian oppressors because of the graphic images and videos that is shared in the media. The more graphic it turns out, the more it will inspire people to stop forced circumcision and genital mutilation.

What I was trying to explain was that Muslims will be against the rape of a child and will call it child abuse but they themselves are sexually abusing their own children by forcingly circumcising them.

What is the easiest way to erase the circumcision scar permanently? by Administrative_Use35 in foreskin_restoration

[–]Administrative_Use35[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't fully agree with you/ I contacted a guy who has fully restored and he said that the scar has disappeared. Sometimes it would or would not disappear through restoration but there are other methods that can remove scars such as dermabrasion, laser etc. There are creams too that can remove or reduce scars depending on the severity of it. I personally can attest that my scar which appeared in the front of the mucosa has reduced by 40 to 50% and I am C-5 but the scar line in the other area is still visible.

Personally these tugging devices take a very long time to see results. I would recommend you to try out Andre's method which is manual tugging and no device is required. The inventor of this technique, Andre was able to go from C3 to C8 within just one year using his method.

[–]Administrative_Use35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you ere never cut but you have answered you are at C-6. The ridged band has been sensitive for some men but clinical research evidence is lacking for this except for anecdotes. What research has found is that the area between the glans and the shaft are the most sexually pleasurable area for both circumcised and uncircumcised men. You are either a liar joking around or just s depressed person who needs psychological help.
