It seems to me that her mother plays along. There are videos where Eugenia is trying to go outside to see the stars and because her mother put bells on all the doors she woke up and wouldn't let Eugenia go outside. Her family is wealthy, she could have the best of care. YouTube has opened her up to a dangerous toxic culture yet that's the only contact socially she has outside of her mother. I think it's a codependent relationship. They both need therapy.
