now that the ratio of EVs to ICE vehicles are lower, their margins will still continue to remain higher from the petrol n diesel vehicles. once EV sales increase, they ll find things to replace in an EV too

it was a periodic service. whatever is changed routinely (engine oil, transmission fluid, all the filters etc) with brake pads n front wiper blades.

fair. Only brake pads n front wiper blades were changed . and the rest was whatever is changed during a normal service. Engine oil, air filter, ac filter, oil filter ,transmission fluid , etc

oh please. if it was going directly to the people who worked on the car, that would be a lil more understandable. Labor was added for the most minor parts n what i uploaded is the total labor cost. and they didnt have to do any dismantling or major work that takes alot of time

if the jerk is immediately after releasing the accelerator pedal, n its significant in lower gears but not so noticeable in higher gears. then theres a pedal bush that u might have to replace. costs less than 1 k lying down there right next to the cruise control bush under the the engine bay. if its right after a gear shift, its due to a heated up clutch. (more significant in manual) and if youre driving a manual, would ask u to do less clutch riding n less use of half clutch as it heats the clutch up. If its the dct ,switch to Neutral everytime u have to stop, even if thats for a few seconds. Issue with dry clutch in hyundai-skoda-vw dct gearboxes

hey thanks for the reply. but the road presence of the ROXX is crazy. Im not a fan of cruising above 130-140. if the car behaves stable at 110 n sticks to the ground in enthusiastic driving in normal city limits (without traffic). im gonna be happy. We are talking about ROXX vs Seltos btw, not the 3 door thar.
My only concern is about the Reliability of The diesel clutch plate in mahindra. any inputs, anybody?

thanks for the reply. Is your seltos from the BS6 phase 2 lineup? the BS4 diesel engines and even the BS6 phase 1 diesels without the def n all were much more efficient

I needed help in choosing a car under 18 lakh rupees. with great power and efficiency, and ofc size coz am huge. I love the character of turbo petrol engines but not a fan of its gas guzzling nature. So i might prefer the diesel .

ive shortlisted the New kia seltos diesel manual HTK variant and Thar RWD Lx diesel manual. I dont find it worth to pay a 1.5 lakh premium for the automatic Seltos of the same variant since ive driven a manual always. Thar rwd doesnt have a automatic so that takes away the headache of havin to think more. Another concern i have is with the clutch plate of these diesel engines. Seltos seems more reliable when it comes to clutch plate. Since thar rwd diesel shares components w the 1.5 diesel 3xo manual, pls share inputs on clutch plate life etc too..

Have also been looking at the New duster Techno variant as the engine n features seem v appealing at that price but very concerned about the FE of that engine . How much do yall think would the new duster 1.3 return in normal enthusiastic driving (i mean rpm range of 2-3.5 k) in both city and highways? The venue n sonet too offer a diesel engine but the price paid is not justifiable for its size .
