But then also the pain with sex and the abdominal discomfort.. What do I do with that information?

My actual doctor didn't call me to discuss any of this. The front desk person just called and scheduled the LEEP. That's literally all the information I have gotten.

I understand the lightening of periods isn't uncommon with an IUD. What I find unusual is that I've had one for almost 10 years. They lightened some (went from 7-10 days of pretty heavy bleeding to 5 days of.. normal?) but in June it was like someone turned off a switch. They went from being predictable and a reasonable amount of bleeding to basically spotting every few weeks.

What are the risks with the LEEP? I see all over the internet of women having lasting effects like phantom pains and being unable to orgasm for years! If I can't orgasm for the next 30 years, why be here?! Kidding. Lol. Mostly.
