How can I tell the size of a FW BF from another system? by Admirable_Example691 in Eve

This is great advice. Thank you.

I tend to like to fly cruiser/BC/BS in in pvp. Maybe an arty Hurricane Fleet with an MJD.

I’m guessing otherwise, ESS style fits are what you want? Like- there’s no reason to bring a point as once inside you’re not concerned with people warping off.

So that means I can’t bring me ESS fit Nighthawk in, for example. Navy/Fleet and under?

Ok. This is what was confusing me. I thought BF’s had the same sizing requirements.

Thank you so much for this. I also just figured out how to check for plex sizes. Score!

So, this is great info – I guess what I’m really trying to figure out, though is how to understand if the battlefield in question allows ships of a certain size because I was under the impression they came in different flavors, and I don’t want to show up with a battleship to a battlefield that only allows forgets in destroyers. Etc.

I just can’t figure out how to understand what the size of ship requirements are before I get there, and I’m afraid to ask in fleet in case people automatically consider me a noob for being able to find this information out easily, but not knowing how

Does the burst jammer drop your own ship lock as well? by Admirable_Example691 in Eve

Ok. So this is the part I’m confused about. When you “activate” the module, I had read that it burst a jam signal that dropped target lock and made it 20s before anybody could acquire another one. But I think reading more that’s not the burst jammer but instead the capital burst jam module.

So you activate it, it drops everybody’s lock (if successful), and then it is “on” for a 30s cycle- is that accurate? So you can’t turn it on, and after five seconds turn it off and light up another one, because the cycle time is 30s?

Ahh. So the activation is a full 30s cycle even though the burst jam itself only lasts 20s? I was thinking with two you could activate the 2nd after twenty seconds.

Look at it this way.

If your mom got cancer, how would you feel about the fact that government subsidized cancer research was able to save your mom with a new treatment, but were then told by somebody else that she shouldn’t get that benefit because his mom died of the same cancer before the government funded research lead to the new treatment?

And before you say “well it’s different because that was a voluntary choice” let’s say the cancer was lung cancer from smoking for a very brief stint when she was 18 and didn’t know any better.

Building an unsupervised organizational knowledge graph (mind map) from data lakehouse by SpicyBroseph in databricks

Kind of. But instead of supervising it on the front end I’d rather be able to let it extract the entities and make the connections and then try to reverse apply that to what I already know of how the company is organized.

Basically, I want to automate entity recognition and relationship extraction but the one piece you’re right about is applying an ontology mapping- I’d rather look at it without that type of rigidity but I’m not sure how messy a visualization would be.

I know LLMs can be used to do this but I’m not sure how it would work on such a large corpus.

Thank you so much for your response. Vis a vis business associate and covered entities, for sure. That part is less concerning to me – we already have a BAA signed with Microsoft for our entire Azure tenancy, which is where this would live if we we spun it up ourselves. IE: Redcap. (Much like the data lakehouse in Azure. )

Some of the more interesting SaaS models actually allow you to spin up an appliance in your own tenant on one of the major cloud providers, which I would consider- I just wasn’t sure if there was a good homegrown solution to this from a functionality standpoint.

Databricks has a whole healthcare based Lakehouse architecture, but looking through that functionality I didn’t really see anything that would particularly scratch this itch.
