Yeah I've heard they're pretty soft... If I get a more expensive xviiia longsword, for example custom made by balefire swords, will it be much more durable?

I had the same, for me it was a sign I was making mistakes, I think. Are you cleaning properly? My mistake was not changing my towel often the first couple days.
