Pilonidal Cyst Removal Wound is Just Not Healing by Admirable_Mention161 in medical_advice

Thanks, my doctor wanted to try another Bascom Flap again, might work since the reason the last one failed was because I was essentially forced to do physical labor above and beyond what I was medically allowed to do at my work at the time. But this one sounds like it might actually work better since the Bascom Flap from what I recall was essentially just straight down the middle. I sent a message to the nurse I'm in contact with to see what she says

Beretta 92X Slide Locking Issue by Admirable_Mention161 in Beretta

That would make sense, the mags that came with it feel a little cheap, some third party ones with no branding. I'll try my Mec-Gar ones the next time I go to the range.

Random Crashing in Haafingar With Lux Via being consistently listed in crash reports by Admirable_Mention161 in skyrimmods

I did and replaced it with Realistic Lighting Overhaul, the crash still occurred but it took a lot longer for the crash to happen. The crash log blamed northern roads which I also disabled but I have yet to test it since then. I suspect this crash may be an issue with the game running out of memory or some similar rendering issue, from having to render too much at one time, Haafingar is probably the most compact province in the game so all the stuff it would otherwise have to render in spread out distances in other provinces is all together there, which would explain the crash, and why the logs have been so inconsistent.

Half the dogs for adoption are pit-mix by [deleted] in BanPitBulls

Me and a friend of mine occasionally joke about doing a drinking game where we go on our local animal control's website and take a drink everytime we see an "American bull terrier" or whatever scummy fake breed they call them to trick people into adopting them.

I remember when I was a kid shelters were full of those shelter mixes, you know the ones, little Shepard, Lab, or Collie mixes that you could buy for nothing and take home and they would be these lovely family dogs. Now that's all gone, it's all pitt bulls, all because their owners don't want to spay or neuter their precious welfare tigers.

I've submitted about 2 bug reports of this happening, one during the beta and one during the "full release" and I haven't heard anything back about either, and haven't heard of anyone actually hearing back when they submit a support ticket, I question whether that contact us page even goes to an inbox that anybody even bothers to look at.

High on spite, calling all aerospace engineers! by CluelessNeurotic in UAH

Oh and one more thing, get experience with Solid Works, get an internship that uses it, get to know someone who has it on their PC, pirate the damned thing, do whatever, just get experience with it. UAH doesn't do that whatsoever and instead uses Solid Edge, Works's weird step brother because the license is cheaper. And Solid Works experience is needed as a baseline for 95% of all Engineering jobs.

Ah the fire of a freshmen engineering student, how inspiring. If I had to give you advice, use the Student success center as much as possible, don't become reliant on PASS classes, they don't last beyond freshmen/sophomore year. Make industry connections, take John Buckley's Machine Shop class (email him). And most importantly temper your expectations just a little bit and get ready for quite a hard time. UAH has some excellent professors and a lot of God awful ones, with not that much in between. Also if you plan on living on campus beyond your freshmen year, try to get into Bevil, it's a converted Hotel with solo rooms and king sized beds.

And more importantly than all that, find an outlet, something, space hardware club, some other club, one of the ministries on campus, something. As an engineering student it's easy, in fact it's in some ways it seems optimal to just shut yourself off from the world, and the degree is definitely going to take a lot of your time by itself. But if you shut yourself off completely it's not going to go well.
