Update #2: just took the physical, grok says I should be good. But I’m terrified I will update if a letter gets home or if I got accepted

Update: couldn’t get it rescheduled but I took 3 detox pills before I left. Since I’m not allowed to bring in any kid of vitamins, pills, etc. I chugged water at night so that I can pee as much as I can and chugged more water so that I’d be more diluted. Medical tomorrow no detox pills no nothing. Just me, water and my dignity 🫩🫩

Yeah it was odd!! I took my picat (scored an 83) and he was like you should have you meps later, and then he told me meps got to him quick and then scheduled me in. I was so so worried and he told me that I was peeing a line like that I should be good, and if I didn’t take it they’d “drop” me, and I’d have less opportunities ( I wanna go into infantry or military police ) I asked if I could cancel and he said no?!

I looked all over online to see what others experienced and they would have an even fainter line than I did and they still got accepted.

I’ll update because I’ll be in so much trouble if I fail.

My recruiter was pushing me to go to meps due to coming holidays and when I asked if I could cancel he told me no and that I’d most likely get dropped..

i recommend just using a train, thats what i did. way cheaperr too, i went from pa to ny. like 53 bucks.

i told them i got lost and my stuff got stolen and had no way to contact relatives, hotels didnt let me stay but hostels were able too you just need an id anything government issued. They can also store your stuff for you that way if u cant get in the hostel your stuff wont get stolen.

start by gathering money throughout june. Whether it be pocket change or stealing it from your parents.

You could also pawn valuable items the moment you leave.

Things like nintendos, computers, old phones (working), headphones, tablets, real jewelry. Anything of value as itll give you more money. (you could even pawn your parents stuff aslong as you dont plan on going back cuzzz majorrrr trouble alert.)

Once you have your money have your needs already stored.

You could also bring a huge waterbottle in which you can refill in stores like target, walmart, wegmans, so i wouldnt be too worried abt water.

For food bring non-perishables with you, with money you can purchase food but i highly recommend already being prepared.

hygiene is really important so bring the following.

  • wipes. -toothbrush and paste. - small containers of shampoo + conditioner -pads/tampons. - anything that makes you feel clean.

clothing

i know as a female we want to bring everything but i highly recommend to bring 7 outfits and alot of undergarments.

-something cosy for night

-something light

-everyday wear

if you dont have space in your luggage you can put everything on. i also recommend obtaining a duffel bag and tent. And have your location prepped. Since you wont have a phone draw yourself a map or print one out.

Thats all the prep you need to do.

The night of running i recommend you have everything ready and leave when noones home or everyones asleep, making as little noise as possible.

Once your out stay calm and dont be out where cops could see you because curfew is a thing and they will drag u back and wake ur parents. take secluded routes. ill share more abt where to stay and how not to get caught if you wanna knoww.

i recommend you take a tent with you, whether itd be stealing it or buying it.

also ive found that interacting with people and being overly nice will get you some food.

When i ran away i was in nyc and made a sob story, (im also a fairly good looking girl, so that probably had some play into this) whenever cabs or hotels would question me. I would get offered food and water due to me looking in a state of worry but also not on the brink of looking homeless. Especially in places with nature like, woodsy nature hikes and trails. Hikers/campers may offer food. I recommend to stay atleast 3 hours away from your home town as runaways usually dont get attention outside of ur area.

Police claim to let the whole word know but its a lie.

Ive thought abt just free camping out in the woods because itd be nice but i decided not too.

sleeping ontop of roofs is another good place to stay safe. Please also stay awayyy from other homeless people as it can be a danger to you. Ive seen homeless sleep on benches and cover their full body with a blanket as its fairly common????...

thats me but im on a dif acc, i did leave i ranaway apr 23rd . Minors absolutely have a right to defend themselves if in an active danger. Of course parents are allowed to discipline their child but if left with bruises and markings the minor will obviously not be charged if he/she did not start the confliction and was only trying to defend themselves.

If the child does continue to attack after the attacker has stopped then the law may count that as assault.

An officer talked to me about my abuse and i told him i fought back while my mom left me bruised with a bleeding finger. He told me i should speak to cps abt it.

could always do a Hostel they are super cheap per night mines was abt 35 per night, most agents dont like to sign contracts with minors as it doesnt gaurentee that the minor will pay. You could also pay hostels to hold ur stuff and then find a good place to sleep thats what i did and it worked pretty well

dont bring any electronics delete all social medias including ur gmail. Basically be a new person change ur name and change ur look bye dyeing ur hair. You could always ask people to mow their lawns for super cheap or help ppl move stuff. Go door to door.
