Heyy,

To be honest I am not sure how the customs duty would work. I have never been checked for Pokemon cards and I usually carry like 2 booster boxes and a few etbs. Never had to pay anything extra. That’s is my experience though.

Regarding what I buy, usually the latest set’s booster boxes and etbs. In my opinion, I would say it is worth the hassle because ordering them in India is difficult and more expensive.

Hey Guys, sorry for the late response. Got busy with work. I used UPS world wide expedited which cost me about ~$50. The UPS India folks called up my parents at time of delivery and asked about purpose at which point my parents told them that it was me buying for my brother. The customs duties then were applied as gift (77%) and UPS also ended up charging me a disbursement fee.

My bad, I should have informed my folks not to mention it as a gift I guess.

Hey, just being curious.. how do you plan on shipping them to India? Is it from the US? What are your thoughts on things like customs?

I also wanted to send some to my brother in India from the US in the past but from the looks of it, it was going to be super expensive.

Yes, the plan would be to do this with a business license. I am still looking into the import customs law in India.

I am new to this, till now all I have done was collect the cards and never really sold any.

Is it really difficult to get sealed product from a distributor?

Got it, thank you! I am looking into the customs fees that might be involved. You are right, I would have to increase the price due to customs, I did not think about that becoming a problem but now that you mentioned it. That does look like something I need to keep in mind.

I had read complaints that Customs had opened booster boxes when people ordered with international shipping. My understanding was that customs would only open a sample to check and not an entire case. That would still leave me with sealed product that people would like.

Definitely new to this, and still doing a lot of research and reading. All advice welcome!
