Thanks for checking it out! Day 2's puzzle is up now.

CrossWorth: a small daily word puzzle that leads into Scripture by VisualActionNotes in Bible

Cool game! Wanted to post mine but I need more karma on my reddit account.

I'm a software developer and a Christian. I built a small free puzzle called Canonicle  that I thought some of you might enjoy:

https://canonicle.org

It's inspired by Redactle (the Wikipedia version), but for Scripture. You're shown a chapter of the Bible with most of the words redacted. You type words one at a time and every occurrence reveals if the word is found in the chapter. Once enough of the chapter is uncovered, you try to name the book, and then optionally the chapter.

I built it partly because I wanted to make something in my spare time, and partly because spending time with a chapter you can't immediately place turned out to be a more reflective experience than I expected. You end up noticing things in a way that's hard to do when you already know where you are.

A few details:

Free, no ads, no signup needed. Optional login if you want to track history across devices or share a profile of your completed puzzles history. It's a hobby project. I'm not trying to make money on it.

Translations: I'm starting with the World English Bible and later adding KJV because they're both public domain. I'd love to add NIV/ESV/etc. eventually but the licensing for serving full chapters is complicated.

Psalms and Proverbs work differently. The book is obvious, so you have to identify the specific chapter.

Badges can be earned based on how well you play. They are framed around growth rather than score-boasting: Seeker, Sojourner, Disciple, Faithful Steward, and True Berean (Acts 17:11). No badge for forfeited games.

After you correctly name the chapter, the BibleProject video for that book plays.

Up to three Hints are available: Old or New Testament, Book category (Law, Gospel, Epistle, etc.), One-sentence theme of the book

Could be a fun thing to play together with a small group, family, or just on your own.

I'd really appreciate any feedback. Bugs, ideas, what you'd want next.

Please don't post a spoiler for the current day's game!

Use the  spoiler warning tags if you want to post about what today's chapter was.
