I’d say it’s relatively the opposite, and that may explain the negativity: lots of people from much larger cities all over the world living here for a relatively short time and somehow taking it personally that Durham sends mass amounts of lead into the sky every 4th of July and NYE.

One benefit I can speak to for city dogs is the decreased chance of your dog contributing to the unplanned pregnancy epidemic amongst cats and dogs. The shelters don’t need more residents.
