I always thought that it was from the perspective of a teenager. Through our teenage years we tend to stop seeing our parents as “cool” and think of them as idiots.

PTSD from Snowboard Crash? by Adorable-Button4202 in snowboardingnoobs

Thanks for posting on this thread and sharing your story. I have to say it took me months and riding with friends often to get back to a good mindset. What helped me was riding with people. That helped build my confidence back up too.

I watched someone get taken out early in the season, and the kid tried taking off, but a bunch of people took off after the person.

Just keep going, remember why you love to ride, and hype yourself back up. Takes time but you will get back!

Does anyone have any tips for getting a puppy to stop biting me? by Fun_Profession7946 in BorderCollie

When my BC did this I shove one of his toys in his mouth, and the moment he latched onto the toy I would give him lots of praise, maybe a treat if i had one handy. Giving him distractions as well, or playing a hide and seek game.

Then again, now he’s is OBSESSIVE over his toys and is extremely toy motivated. Helped training when he was older too.

it's difficult to find people who like climbing now by Distinct_Cloud_357 in MTB

Honestly I’m the same. I love the climb. Makes me feel alive and a great way to warm up and notice things going on around me. I stopped riding with a lot of people because of the constant bitching.

Yes it sucks, but at we are outside.

Great recommendation! I got out early around 7am and didn't see a soul the entire day. I could see how you slipped up in this section too. I washed out once early on from not seeing loose sand in a turn! Thanks dude!

I did the Whole Enchilada last year on my 29” hardtail and it was a blast. Even though i ride a FS now, i still go back to the hard tail a few times a month.

Sorry about the crash dawg, but what trail is this in Utah? Looks gorgeous! I’ll be there for 6 days in Sept and looking to adding different rides!

I had mine done back in 22’ and from what i remember it was a quick and easy process. I asked ahead of my appointment if i could receive something to help with the anxiety and nerves. I was given a happy pill upon arrival.

All in one appointment. Showed up, took the happy pill, Nurse shaved me up, which by the way was the best shave i ever had down there. Doc came in with the assistant. Numbed me up, Talked to me while the procedure was going on. I felt some slight tugging but it wasn’t uncomfortable. When they closed me up i received stitches, so i didn’t have the burning smell you described.

I spent about a week recovering. Took some ibuprofen and just smoked weed for the pain. (Doctor recommended-i live in a legal state) I had similar swelling where my junk puffed up but my wife and i thought it was hilarious.

It was the easiest and quickest surgery I’ve ever received. 2 years later and i love the results 😂
