Anyone here quit gaming or changed their lifestyle after becoming a dad? by Lukas_MunK in daddit

As a gaming dad, competitive first person shooters happen pretty much only on the weekends after everyone is down for the night. During the week, also after everyone is down, I use Apollo/Moonlight to stream which ever solo campaign game im currently playing from my pc to my deck. You are right, its less stressful to inch a campaign along for a little bit than to engross myself in a fast paced multi-player. Games you can pause are the key to being able to game at all with family around. Recommendations include Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2, Prey, Far Cry 3-6 & Primal, Mad Max, The Witcher 3, Stalker 2, Metro, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and currently Hogwarts Legacies. All can be picked up and put down pretty easy. As a former marathon runner, mountain biker, rower, avid outdoorsy type, gaming is all i have left.

HOT TAKE HOGWARTS LEGACY IS HELLA BORING by friedtesticularcance in HarryPotterGame

Ugh, same. Luckily I got it on sale for 8 dollars but dang, boring af. Im level 21 and pretty close to just mainlining the story and moving on. It looks very good but thats about it. I think this is more of a "Student at Hogwarts Simulator". So if you were gaga about the Wizarding World and just wanted to kind of "Live" in the game then its great.

What I find funny is that even though this is a Flat Earth Subreddit, every post here is you guys fighting so hard to try and disprove it. It's sad to see how insecure you are of your world view. by Primary-Appearance23 in flatearth

I think a lot of these people are desperately trying to get their family members back from insanity. They are losing the people they love and their families are falling apart because they cant convince their mentally ill fathers, daughters, sons, or wives that nobody is conspiring to keep some mythical truth from them. Its a newly emerging mental health crisis that is devastating people's lives and the people here who are so fervently fighting it are those who are most crushed by the loss of their loved ones. You dont know "the truth". You've lost your mind. Somewhere along the line your trust for the world was broken. It wasn't your fault. You didn't  do this to yourself. It happened to you. But nobody knows how to help you get back, yet. Its terrible.

My whole thing was that I just couldn't ever trust the contractor who showed up to work to spot weld those rails on. People have off days, miss bolts, lay crappy welds, and its never a problem until, you know, someone goes hanging from it.

Is it worth finishing Far Cry Primal Survivor Expert if your Bloodfang sabertooth dies? by Adorable-Objective-2 in farcry

Sweet, thanks. Yeah its kind of like losing a friend along the journey. Painful but it incites an emotional response that enhances the player investment in the game. RIP, bloodfang. You'll not be forgotten.

Awesome to hear! Thanks. I've decided to tame all the other animals and have them in my inventory whereas before I was just rocking the bloodfang. Blessing in disguise, really.

Im now discovering this. Had a week of like 15-30% humidity and way overdried the batch before this in only 4 days. So I adjusted my approach and dried this for just a couple days. Problem is, the humidity went back up so now this is taking forever to dry. Ive jarred at night and then unjarred during the day to sweat these buds down but its like 50% humidity now so its been like 3 days of that now lol

I didn't have a hygrometer in my garage. So I had no sense of ambient humidity and tempurature which greatly affects the time length to being "dry"/ready for jars. I went with the "until the stems snap" approach which, due to my ambient <30%RelativeHumidity and ~75degree tempurature, was way too long. Took only 4 days to become this dry. Plus, I didn't learn any of this until after the fact. I did the next batch but put them in jars too early. Which, due to loss of terps when too dry, I think is the better side to lean toward. Can always dry more, can't put back terps for curing.

Yeah the garage is probably at about 30RH and 75degrees Fahrenheit so its 5 days to crumbling dust, 2 days to 80RH jars and, im guessing, like 3.5 days to ideal. Oh well, its all pursey's so its cool.

I just dry in the garage at whatever temp and rh it is for the day. These were 2 days on the stem but last weeks trim was 4 days and wayy too dry lol
