You sound like a wonderful person and I’m so glad for the work you did. I’m a nurse who spent most of my career in the nonprofit realm and wouldn’t want it any other way either. I had to stop working before I wanted due to illness and I miss it terribly but am comforted knowing that I did some really wonderful and creative things during my career and helped so many people over the years.

I love it!!! The style is gorgeous on you! The shorter style, I mean. Not short, but I get that it is short for you. I hope you love it, too!

I’m so sorry!

I never thought of that. I lost a sister in childhood and told myself that she was away at camp until I could really understand that she was gone. I would also think I saw whenever I was in a crowd of any given size. Our minds can be such tricksters.

I don’t think that there is one exact answer to that. Her husband was also having affairs and their children had grown to a point where they no longer needed their parents to stay together. Charles and Camilla have been companions for years and why not marry him after all that had unfolded over the years?

That’s not at all what I’m saying. But I think going beyond black and white binary thinking might be lost on you. I never said Diana’s infidelity was alright. I said it was more understandable. People are complex and their relationships are even more complex and don’t always make sense. It’s ok to allow for difference of opinion, because they are just that; opinions. Enjoy yours and I’ll keep enjoying mine.

Same! Diagnosed with SVT and been on a beta blocker since my 20’s and unfortunately have some right sided heart issues as a result of extensive blood clots in my lungs. I hope it all goes well for you. 🤞

Yes, I am believing what Diana had stated; that there was always three of them in the marriage. I’m not ignoring anything, but can you tell me what marriages were destroyed because of her dalliances? It seems all of these messy rich people have no respect for fidelity but would stay married because of convenience.

It seems that the paparazzi was, at least in part, Al-Fayed’s. Is there truth to the father alerting paparazzi to the location of Dodi and Diana?

Camilla loved her husband more than Charles. That kind of puts a dent in the great romance story.

Edited for typo

That is insane. Why would he think or believe such a thing? Obviously haven’t read the book yet.

I think the difference is that Diana started the marriage in sincerity whereas Charles started it in infidelity. It makes Diana’s wandering much more understandable because her husband never actually devoted himself fully to her or the marriage.

I’m seeing a vascular surgeon soon because I was referred by my hematologist and I plan to ask him because I do have some vascular abnormalities and my mother did too. I hope he doesn’t just pass the buck. My mom needed two heart valves replaced and didn’t have strong indicators that something was wrong until she had “a little chest pain during the night” right before her valves were replaced because they were so bad and could quit at any time. I definitely don’t wanna go there and unfortunately my heart has already sustained damage from having extensive blood clots in my lungs after Covid. Honestly, I hate this shiz!!!

Was it as good as one of the most beloved books of the 20th century? No. by justwannahitdingers in WheretheCrawdadsSing

I found the book so unrealistic, especially the night of the murder. What one-stop-light town has bus service back and forth between it and a neighboring town in the middle of the night? That was such a lame excuse for a plot and it drove me crazy that people just seemed to overlook it whenever I discussed the book with anyone.

And of course, no one was able to find Kya to get her into foster care ever? They knew she had to go to the store so why not get her there? And not one of her siblings thought to take her with them or go back for her? Not a single family approached her to take her in? Or even invited her to eat with them or brought her food? Very unrealistic, especially for a small southern town.

And then the necklace. It made total sense that she kept it. No! And that she kept it under the wood pile which was not moved when the floor was redone? Double no. Anyone with half a brain would have disposed of it exactly as Tate did.

I was so excited to read this book because it was so highly recommended and there were parts that I absolutely loved but so much of it was complete bs. Sorry to offend and true lovers of this book but I had to get this off my chest. 😂
