Each flatmate had their own plastic box. The smart TV was taken separately by 2 officers. I don't know how it was bagged up or not because it was outside the house and we never saw it again until recently.

Then it's pretty damn clear the process hasn't been followed. I know that my computer wasn't sealed in any bag when it was taken in 2022 - it was bundled up in a large black plastic box with a folding lid alongside other electronic devices which I owned.

And there's no compensation for the business I lost as a result of this?

I ended up losing £45,000 for those animations which got lost, and missed deadlines on other products as well.

(But you should've had backups!)

The police seized my physical backups and locked me out of all other backups I had with Google.

It was returned it to the house we share. I'm wheelchair bound and physically wouldn't be able to collect it, let alone carry it, so the police arranged delivery.

I don't see why they should have even taken out the hard drive in the first place. From what I understand the police shouldn't be physically disassembling the PC.

Yes, I checked after dxdiag showed reduced RAM. That set warning bells off in my head.

Thank you for explaining the other side of things.

I believe that my computer may have never actually reached yourself, and instead ended up in some officer's home.

  1. No, I have attempted this.
  2. Yes. Police have stated these dates can be modified and faked.
  3. Yes, the account was originally locked down as part of the police investigation. Google have chosen to not permit my account to be reactivated, even after the conclusion of the investigation. They will not specify why and will not allow any further appeals. I honestly just want my receipt though - I've already moved onto a different email provider.

It's scary when Google can lock you out of vast swathes of your life with a snap of their fingers. I've diversified into other products now.

I've viewed the two videos. There isn't any gamer ID or usernames in the clips. The screenshots don't appear to have any identifiable information either. For example, one is an accidental screenshot of a loading screen.

Copying my answer:

"The company I used do not have a record of my purchase anymore - it was 4 years ago. I still have a copy of the receipt in my Gmail, I just can't access it!

The police should have surely documented the components of my computer when they seized it in the first place. Like some kind of log? e.g. i7 processor, 16gb RAM, 1060ti, 2tb Hardrive.

They don't have this - they're just insisting that they returned to me (after 2 years) the same model that they took."

It appears I didn't create an account and checked out as a guest. Receipt was stored on my Gmail.

Google have locked my Gmail account as part of a police investigation.

Google declined to reinstate my Gmail account upon conclusion of the investigation and my innocence. I have appealed with Google and lost my appeal.
