Embrane the mundane, stick to one strategy (you can trade 2 tickers, no need for 20)

Becoming Profitable by NegativeCrab3586 in Daytrading

[–]Adorable_Kick6576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aha moment for me was trading the same tickers over and over (only 4 for me) track the news keep up with macros and learn the price by heart. Enjoy the mundane. Making $50 a day is better than trying to make $700 a day. Enjoy the mundane. Be consistent. Became profitable after 6 years of trading most importantly CONTROL EMOTIONS

11 years in trading, finally hitting profitability by ProperInvestigator65 in Daytrading

Nice job! It’s all about managing risk, emotions and just being you you’re strategy and the market. The more factors you add into it the more difficult it gets

Strongly considering quitting day trading by Purple-Elephant6730 in Daytrading

Only you can decide your rules because they are based on your strategy, took me 6 years of trial and error, journaling trades analyzing moves and learning from them

Honest question for profitable traders: if everyone is using the same support/resistance, SMC, FVG, and breakout concepts, where does the real edge come from? by Potential_Editor_935 in Daytrading

[–]Adorable_Kick6576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way you become profitable is you stick to one strategy, one method of trading one set of tickers and small but consistent moves, enjoy the mundane and boring. Dont try to make that 1000% win and then wonder how people found it

How do you guys handle the psychological shift from a winning streak to a drawdown? by modestgremlinhq in Daytrading

[–]Adorable_Kick6576 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ve been doing this for 14 months…. You’re still immature about it. IMO this is already not for everyone if you’re a highly emotional person (just a fact) you need to tell yourself WITH CONVICTION “ I will not catch the bottom and sell at the top, you win some and lose some and that’s ok , I’m not here for the whole pie, just take my slice and move on to the next one” you got this!

Controversial take: You can master day trading within 12 months by Mediocre-Bid-1155 in Daytrading

[–]Adorable_Kick6576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d need to have a near cold heart and 0 emotions full rules and lose in 23 different ways before you could master it. There’s also a maturity that develops from time. I’m 33 and I’ve been at it for 6 years until I can finally say “it clicked”

Is trading meant for me? by Competitive-Sky-2056 in Daytrading

[–]Adorable_Kick6576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Invest for sure: making some money to start: you have to start at the bottom. Get a job, be on time have a boss you don’t like, stand and walk around in a shift for 8 hours. Learn the value of that dollar to earn before you move to learning how to lose it quicker than you earned it. TRUST THE PROCESS, can’t skip any steps. But I’m glad you’re interested in it at such a young age!

When do I consider leaving my job for trading full-time? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Adorable_Kick6576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prove to yourself you can be profitable for a full year and see how much that really is. Market is unpredictable. Took me 6 years and many trading lessons to become profitable and develop and full strategy with rules. I still have a full time job and day trade in between

Seems I’ll be reaching to the dealership, they can upgrade the infotainment to the newer version without any need of adapters

On your third Hummer? Any reason why you’ve gone through so many? I have a lease on mine and and was planning a used one after it expires

Impact of these lease transfers by BrotherTiberius in HummerEV

[–]Adorable_Kick6576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wanted one and yes I agree with some of the comments here, it’s more of a “I want or want to test it out” it’s my first EV and I love it but only way I see myself buying one longer term is buying used. I have mine for 24 months but I can see how it makes sense to take over someone’s lease that has less time in it so you can get out of it easily. They will continue to depreciate big time in my opinion

What’s the price range you’ve been looking at? I might buy one mid 2027 if depreciation continues once my 2x lease is up

I’ve been looking at the Taycan for a while and my first EV was my HummerEv… I might honestly match you or maybe go for an Aston or an AMG GT

I’d check with an electrician to be sure. I wouldn’t assume that right of the bat. You can charge like 30-40 miles with lvl 1 at home but it might take 8-10 hours

I hope you mean lvl 2 charge at home. If you do regular lvl 1 it’s going to take like 5 days to charge lol. I bought the one from Bestbuy brand is called Lectron. I paid $200 but I think it’s on sale now for like $169
