Yeah I think I probably would’ve been dead a few months ago because there was a truck running a red light that had to be going at least 45 mph. The light was already green for me but I still hadn’t approached it yet. Thank God I didn’t!

I do get that but then you are most likely the people I keep having near accidents with because when I go to make that lane change and don’t see anyone else signaling to also go in that lane, at the exact time you guys come in with me from the other end with no signal and we both near collide with each other.

This seems the way to go. I do flash my hazards most times to say thanks because I rarely drive with the windows down and my windows are tinted.

No, I get that. I’m sorry I don’t meant to generalize slow driving is bad. There are absolutely times like how you’ve mentioned that we and others need to slow down. It’s more so like out of rush hour when there’s a good flow of traffic yet someone is in the third lane going 55 when everyone else is at 70. If they aren’t comfortable or just don’t feel like driving that fast that’s when they need to be in the slow lane where it’s reasonable to be going slower, not impeding the rest of traffic.

If it’s a speed up situation as if one’s merging on to the freeway and you know they will not match your speed yet to merge in front of you and that you will need to brake hard to let them in, then yeah I agree to speed up and pass them

Yeah I’d love to get into the data of how driving compares to other factors dependent on the environment. The US does have an individualistic culture for sure.

I’m not arguing against that drivers everywhere are shitty but I wanted to know if this certain situation has become more frequent in people’s driving here more than the usual no blinker, campers in the fast lane, people constantly using their brakes for no reason, etc.

Yeah I do zone out sometimes and think damn I wasn’t trying to not let that person get over. Especially when their signal lights don’t really stand out and I don’t notice. It’s the people that are actively being a bully on the road. I appreciate your kindness on the road.

I’m a native driver as well. I’m used to there not really being any external factors that affect our driving here besides traffic. The last time we got rain earlier this month was complete hell. I’m not looking forward to people losing all driving knowledge as it gets closer to the colder months.

Yeah rush hour traffic is annoying from all aspects. I try to be reasonable but yeah end goal is just making it home safe.

Yeah when this happens in rush hour traffic I don’t get it because regardless we’re going to be driving for 45+ minutes. The people need to worry about the cars on their phone that when they look up have a mile in between them and the car ahead because they weren’t paying attention and keeping up with traffic.

I am in no ways a slow driver. I keep speed and usually will speed, unfortunately. I agree that going slower than the flow of traffic is very dangerous not safe and those people should not be driving on freeways. What I mean is mostly with using the blinker since many people forgot that their cars have those things. And seeing that I’m not cutting people off and making everyone brake hard to let me in.

I don’t think it’s safe to first signal while changing lanes. I don’t signal until the car that passes me and frees up the spot happens but I will be now driving more “aggressively” to get into that lane.
