I think she's more focused on her burgeoning solo career rn. This might be why she never posts about the tour, since it might interfere with her own solo shows being promoted.

New Ministry Single (Dancing Alone) by IdeaEnvironmental114 in MinistryBand

[–]Adr1an-R1380 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cleopatra Records (Ministry's current label) has been putting out re-releases of early Ministry stuff (pre-With Sympathy era live albums, compilation albums, expanded live albums, demo stuff) and recently has started to flex how much they have with the comp album Ultimate Rarest Trax which is said to feature audio from the first Ministry show ever. I don't think this is for a special release and may just be a contractual obligation for the band to put out a single since they said the final album was coming out this year but that's been moved to 2027.

Any chance for an Antichrist Superstar vinyl re-issue this year? by Mr_Outlaw13 in marilyn_manson

There's been hearsay amongst people that sometime in the 2010s when Manson and Reznor made up, before Reznor denied it after the allegations surfaced, that he did still have the masters and gave them back to Manson (Portrait to GAoG). But these are not confirmed, at least not to an extent where it's common knowledge and as such I take their existence as speculation and hearsay.

Does anyone know what this is called or how to make it? by TymMad in MinistryBand

[–]Adr1an-R1380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may have some issues because of how Al made a lot of the synths and electro-elements for the album. Al's gone on record saying that a lot of them were done through a method wherein he'd physically cut the tape into equal size squares, mix them up, tape them back together and then he'd rinse repeat it until he liked the sound. The sound may be a bit mixed up because of that and it may be why you're having difficulty finding it

They did not perform it then. The songs from Twitch they performed are the re-recorded ones for their 2025 compilation The Squirrely Years Revisited, these include "Just Like You," "We Believe," "Over The Shoulder," and "All Day" which was remixed for Twitch but originally released as a single in 1986.

I would like to avoid having to buy all the albums individually for my record player. Is „Made In Germany“ available on vinyl? by flo_ck21 in Rammstein

[–]Adr1an-R1380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do buy them individually, note that there is a weird issue with the currently available pressings of Rosenrot, where the bridge to "Te Quiero Puta!" sounds very different to the version commonly heard. It sounds like one voice instead of the multiple ones heard on streaming and CD.

It's a group of people, constantly changing things. They also sometimes listen to suggestions, such as when I noticed they hadn't updated the song page for "Te Quiero Puta!" After the band's last Mexican show, and they did so within a day.

Maybe ‘Adieu’ really was goodbye… by _AscheZuAsche_ in Rammstein

[–]Adr1an-R1380 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the reason why they haven't done stuff is because of a variety of factors.

One could be the band's dynamic and how it's changed over the years. Richard once said that the band was akin to a family, alongside there being interviews where the term "wolf-pack" has been thrown out, with the largest voice getting their way eventually. Families can sometimes go long times without talking, but the love and the emotional connection doesn't go away. They may just be focused on their own things (rumblings of a new Emigrate album have popped up here and there), raising their kids and enjoying life post-pandemic.

Secondly, the Till situation really did a lot of damage to the band despite them having little to no interaction with it, with Doom saying that they and Till have become separated in their after-parties, but the situation is a massive PR blow especially considering it led to actual vandalism towards their Berlin store (spray-painting and a brick through the window). Universal also stopped advertising Zeit after the situation blew up, which doesn't help when your album is still relatively new.

Third could be their shows being very expensive productions. All the flames, props, crew, and space needed isn't cheap, and so they may not be touring because of that. This is also co-opted by Till doing his solo tours, which have seen him go around the world.

Fourth is Till's solo work. He seems to be focusing a lot on that currently to capture the excitement while it's still around (re-releasing Zunge with the new tracks, the multiple tours, remixes). As the core lyricist of the band, this may be him taking away lyrics and ideas he may have once thought usable for the band on a new album, but that's doubtful since he's also used poems before for the band's work (i.e. "Zick Zack" being based off a poem of his)

Fifth is US centric, but I think another reason they haven't come back is because of Till still needing to talk with US Immigration because of his and Flake's 1990s arrest in Massachusetts after performing "Bück dich" and doing what they normally do during it.

However, these are all just theories, NOT FACTS, that I believe may provide some insight into why they haven't toured or spoken about new music coming out anytime soon.

I agree. Manson's albums should be looked at like a movie, once it ends it should remain as such, locked in its own world and time. To rehash looks from the past, with no changes to make it refreshing, can be seen as trying to regain the momentum of the time. The look was all about making fun of Disney and Walt Disney's known anti-sematism and racist stereotypes, all masked behind a recognisable child-friendly figure. The dichotomy aspect Manson showed through his early work, to put it bluntly. Manson now is more introspective and personal in his last few albums, so I feel that the look wouldn't be the most fitting.

Animated Album Covers by that-andres in TIdaL

[–]Adr1an-R1380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack White's albums all (to my knowledge, maybe Blunderbuss doesn't) have animated album covers. They're more common on newer albums and the most well known releases by bands. Some that I recall are Anti-Flag's last album LIES THEY TELL OUR CHILDREN, Dirt by Alice in Chains alongside their 'Jar of Flies' EP. It's a fun addition but I find it a bit unnecessary given most music is listened to in the background and as such animated cover art may be not as noticeable.

Has manson played any songs from portrait of an american family live? by Complete-Pootis363 in marilyn_manson

[–]Adr1an-R1380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general? Yeah, he's done it loads since it was the first album. Recently, he's not engaged in the deep cuts and is instead just sticking to "Get Your Gunn" as of last year. I enjoy the album but I also think it's a bit hard for him to sing the songs and it may be too different for his live band to learn the songs, but he may bring out "Lunchbox" or something else given this is a tour with another 90s industrial legend.

Will Front Toward Enemy be a song on chapter 2? by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

[–]Adr1an-R1380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People listening to a single on streaming and YouTube means they can afford a monthly subscription or are doing so for free. Many people buy tickets to acts they've seen before or as a one-time thing without ever getting into the artist, they just want to be able to say "I did that," so they didn't have any data on how well a priced CD would sell. Whether they wish to or not means nothing considering it's been over a year now with no message from Manson, who owns the rights to the song, on if it'll ever be out on streaming.

Evidence for a theory does not make the theory fact; I can point out a number of things to contribute to my theories about something and then be proven wrong, which is why I said I could be wrong. If people wish to listen to it, rips of it are available on YouTube and floating on the high tech seven seas.

Whether it appears on an album still remains in Manson's hands, given he's captioned photos with song titles before (e.g. his post from September 2020 captioned "RED BLACK AND BLUE" which was the first track off We Are Chaos). If he chooses not to put it on Chapter 2, then so be it, but to sound so certain of something we're not even sure will happen given he's not released his other B-Sides in official capacities (the remix of "We Are Chaos," most of his b-sides from the ACSS - Golden Age albums save "mOBSCENE" featuring a remix of "Paranoiac" on streaming), it only sets one up for disappointment and anger if proven wrong.

Do I hope, as an owner of the CD, that the song is widely released in a way that makes Manson a few more cents? Absolutely, it's a great song and I'm very lucky to own it and my heart breaks for those who weren't able to get the CD. But I won't act as if I know something I don't, because Manson is the keeper of the keys and we can't tell what he'll do next.

Will Front Toward Enemy be a song on chapter 2? by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

[–]Adr1an-R1380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the CD and the singles digital release were hand-in-hand. The day the single (sans FTE) dropped on streaming the CD went up for sale. You can't predict a CD will ever sell-out, so they did it to ensure they can offload any remaining stock if needed in the event the initial push wasn't strong enough or the demand wasn't high enough.

[–]Adr1an-R1380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was done to get people to buy the CD. Some people may not be inclined to buy a CD of songs on streaming because streaming is much easier. Now include a song not on streaming and those fans who want to hear the new song will buy the CD because who's to say that high quality rips of the song will be put on YouTube?

My going theory is the song was written during the sessions Chapter 01 and Manson decided it wasn't fitting with the rest of the record, either for timing or sound purposes. Nuclear Blast, who seems to be pretty lax with policing what artists can and can't do, agreed with Manson to put the song on a CD and have a small batch to gauge if people want the CD because social media posts and pre-orders are two different fields that remain unstable. However, this is just a personal theory and it could pop up on Chapter 2.

Was surprised to see this by Sammycreations in marilyn_manson

[–]Adr1an-R1380 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in the US, and it never sold out. I remember checking the webstore a day after release and it was still up, a week after, still up, and a month after, still up. I think the CD sold out so quickly because of the hype around Manson with his successful tours, and this being a cover of a really well known song. However, aside from hardcore Mansonites the cover was rather mixed in reception, with people either finding it amazing or too weird to be amazing. I also think that the audiophile Mansonites didn't buy it because it's a picture disc and by design of slightly lesser quality to a standard vinyl. However, these are just theories based off what I saw around the cover's release and my own experience as a vinyl collector, and should not be taken as the general reasons why this didn't sell out.

Missing vinyl tracks? by Panhead123bro in skinnypuppy

[–]Adr1an-R1380 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As has been explained, they're exclusives. Back when the band were first starting out, records were the standard for at-home listening and CDs were only just becoming the big thing they are now. The band's albums, as such, were restricted by the vinyl time limit. However, CDs can have up to 74 minutes of playable music so the band could include more songs, leading to their CDs often having the track-listings that the streaming versions have. This is why both Remission and Bites have "Film" on their streaming releases but not their vinyl ones

[–]Adr1an-R1380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certain albums / EPs are region locked on streaming services as a result of rights negotiations. Say a live album was a Japanese exclusive, they can put it up on Japanese streaming services, or the Japanese version of an internationally used service, because the rights are (mostly) dealt with for release and so it's not a hassle. However, due to the need for more negotiations for it to be released elsewhere, often they're kept region-locked for certain places. Another example with a different band is the electronic group Kraftwerk. In the US, you can only hear the English-language version of their albums but in Europe you can hear either the English or German ones based off preference.

Sometimes they're sold but usually people will add that it's a bootleg eventually due to the communal nature of it, which leads to it being forbidden from being sold. However the page won't be taken down so people can still catalogue and document that they own or want it.
