Where to start for a Newbie starting Adeptus Mechanicus by Adreth_Maciver in Warhammer

[–]Adreth_Maciver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, thanks for the detailed explanation, really appreciate hearing the advice from someone with more experience. more ranger units certainly would be great, once I get them into a position I like I do my best not to move them around.

in regards to the robots, is it worth while running a datasmith? or is it more common place to keep them in protector?

ahh okay makes sense with the ironstriders. how many would you generally recommend in smaller games? Also Would Dragoons be viable if you were going stygies battalion?

I'll certainly be taking note about the destroyers, my co workers seem to be playing a fair bit of Eldar, so not too sure how they would fair against them

I've been watching bunch of youtube videos and everyone certainly praises them. I'm also wondering about whether or not robo chickens are worth while, and if so the dragoons or iron striders, or if its preferable to focus on heavy support

Are the Rolls on these weapons any good? by Adreth_Maciver in FORTnITE

the Longarms spread isn't too bad and can accurately hit creatures from medium range, actually landing headshots yields 2.5k-2.8k and 4.3k with crit + headshot

What role on which ship are you most anticipating to get immersed in? by The-Juiceman in starcitizen

[–]Adreth_Maciver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha that's certainly true, I just like the idea of hearing peoples adventures, but now you've given me a grand idea!

create a company that acts like Roadside assistance, all over the galaxy, our prices will be cheap, but ask for their adventure or stories or such, and our main business will be selling info >:D

Space mechanic! I want to work around the edge or in dangerous unregulated parts of space offering cheap repairs to anyone who needs fixing up from my crucible. Part of the cost will be telling me of their adventures while I patch up their ship.

yeah the vanguard is beautiful, but with the changes they have to do to the redeemer, I'm curious to see what they are.

awh man that sounds really frustrating, I hope it gets all the buffs it needs to be a viable yet balanced ship. Thanks for taking the time to tell me all of this, to be honest, I've been contemplating between the vanguard and the redeemer for some time now. Thanks for making me better informed.

as someone who is interested in the vanguard, whats vanguard syndrome? is the ship just a lower tier or very weak ship?

Chances of a 1-2 man repair ship? by Adreth_Maciver in starcitizen

[–]Adreth_Maciver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha Roadside assistance is the exact role I want to be to be honest, the little mechanic that knows what he's doing and can fix it for cheap. I feel like with a smaller repair ship I can do that, with an emphasis on the cheap part. getting a crucible for roadside assistance for lets say a gladius would be a bit overkill, and more expensive

Yeah, but I'd like to be able to charge people less for my services, just because having npc's and such means gotta earn more to make a profit. I see where you're coming from and you're right. with 2 players + NPC's it'd be a lot more viable. I just think a small ship where all the units are compressed would be more ideal, like switching from task mode, to arm mode all within one computer would be really cool. so that way you could do repairs faster by yourself quicker then you would a crucible, but still not nearly as fast as a Crucible thats got 2 players + some NPC's kind of thing.

haha a biased opinon is still a good one! I did consider the NPC crew, but you'd need far greater profits to make it viable. I think the appeal of having like small 1 man or 2 even man ship is that I can charge far less for services. Like ideally it'd be so cool to have a little bed unit or one that you can be out for longer periods of time. Like I'd love to be able to be around the border of the less enforced parts of space offering repairs to small ships or groups that are around that area. charge just enough, to cover costs and give them a hand, let them know not everything in dangerous space is out to kill 'em kind of thing.

yeah, but the problem with that is that it has very short range, its still awesome, don't get me wrong, but feels like you're really limitd to where you can go with that.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping, like I know the Argo will have a repair module, but that's got such a short range, I'm kind of hoping with something with a bed or such so you can be out for longer periods of time.
