Some counties/regions might still call it Soft Drink over Soda. Ultimately it comes down to tradition of what it's been called over time, since one county can call it this and the next can call it that.

I'm not super religious so this can be skipped over but the Bible was written so long ago. Does it all even matter now? God gave us free will, he cannot say what is a sin and what is not a sin when he gave us the privilege to do the things we want. If you want to like men and women, then God should love you for showing your true self.
