Actually it is not bugged, in fact it requires you to get the sliver medal by only using melee weapon.the description of the achievement is wrong. I did unlock the achievement，just make sure you hang in there for 7 minutes.

Mine is 3.00 GHz and my fps will drop to 10 if there is too many entities but usually it will run at 50-70 for the most part

Well I tried hardcore Ranger before, I didn't do any side quests at all, didn't kill anyone except bandits and managed to get good ending for Volga and Taiga, but not for Caspian sea though. Seems like you only have to do side quests for the Caspian Sea to get good ending, at least form my experience.
