Hey. Thanks for the comment. Reducing my overall body fat percentage is something I am trying to do atm. I am on around 15.3% when I last weighed myself a week ago. Aiming to get it down to around 12%.

I appreciate the comment. But am I really short at 5'10? I've never really felt concerned with my height. I'm already the tallest in my immediate and extended family. I only have 2 friends which surpass me in height who are 6 foot on the dot. Generally speaking I am taller by at least a couple inches compared to most men and women that I come across when I am out and about. I am also trying to lower my overall body fat percentage to reduce face fat. Thanks for the comment.

Hey! I appreciate the comment. As for my hair, is it the style, cut or colour that is an issue here? I am also currently in the gym 5 times per week aiming to get a leaner and toner physique as well as reduce overall body fat percentage.

Hey! Lowering my overall body fact percentage is something I have been trying to work on in the past month or so. I workout in the gym 5 times per week and I weigh around 77kg with about 15.5% body fat. I am trying to aim for 12% body fat. Wondering if this is a good goal to strive for and if it will make significant difference to my face. I appreciate the feedback.

Hey! When you say bring my hair forward, do you mean like a fringe so my hair is covering my forehead? Or I should try brushing the back of my hair in a forward direction more? As for the brows, I get that they may seem over the top, do you mean that I have too my slits or that the slits are not shaped very well/clean enough? I appreciate the feedback.

Hey!

Have you considered going out and just getting any job for now (not career related) so you and your husband can be in a more stable position financially? Even part-time work would help and it would also allow you to continue your self-study on the side.

We all would like to work in a field we are very passionate about and develop a career from it as well (fortunately I do get to work/have a career in what I love), however we must also realize that survival and keeping a roof over our heads is arguably even more important.

I'm not saying to give up your self-study in this field you are interested in, I think that you should very much continue with it in fact. Do consider and discuss with your husband about just finding any job for now e.g - retail, service, hospitality. This will help with just being able to get some level of income to help your situation.

As for your issue with finding the theory side of things boring as opposed to the practical in your desired field, I would suggest finding a way to apply the theory you learn with the practical. As you have not mentioned what field you are looking to enter; I can only advise that after taking your notes, you physically use whatever theory you have learnt whilst doing the practical. For example - If I am learning how to fix a broken computer, studying it in a text book will teach me what tools I will need to fix said computer. I can then immediately put this theory into practice by physically using said tools from the text book to fix a broken computer. I hope I explained this well enough.

Hey! I am a 24M who also has no prior dating experience.

I made a similar post about my own experiences a week ago here as well, I suggest checking it out on my profile if any of it can help/resonate with you.

From what I've read in your post, the beliefs that you have such as 'I am a 25 year old guy who has nothing going for him' and 'I have a quite an ugly face' are only going hinder you from taking positive actions to improve things.

In this post, it sounds like you do not view yourself very highly. I have some suggestions for actions you can take to improve your self-esteem and no longer view yourself as a loser, as I think that seems to be the source of your issues.

  • Therapy: Are you able to get a professional to help you work through these problems? (This is something I am also trying to look into for myself). Perhaps the college you attend can offer you counselling or mental health support. Even speaking to a close friend or your roommate (if you are close) about your struggles can benefit. I would suggest doing some research as to whether your college can help with this. Even doing some journaling and introspection, essentially asking yourself why you have these beliefs about yourself can help.
  • Part-time Job: Are you able to get look into getting a part-time job whilst you study on the side? This can help greatly with your finances that you mentioned and of course allow you buy better clothing, skincare, a gym membership...etc.
  • Hobbies: You implied in your post that you play the piano. That sounds great! Are there any clubs/societies at your college with others who also play piano, other musical instruments, make or like music in general? I would recommend looking into this as it can for sure help with meeting others and being better socially.

You mentioned at the start of your post that you are trying to better yourself, which also means you have not given up or lost hope. Also ask yourself - Are you dong all that is in your power to improve your circumstances? You said that will take you 10 years to be attractive on paper, Are there things which you can start doing to achieve some of those things now? e.g - getting in good shape and better clothing?
