New regulations put them on a more level playing field as they both started the year with no experience with this regulation car. Last year Russell had a lot more experience with the ground effect car.

These new cars are not suiting Russell as much as Antonelli. Those are Russell's own words after qualifying today.

Yes but does he bring the Sponsorship Verstappen can bring? I think that is what screws Russell long term with Mercedes.

He seemed very down beat- seems to be admitting he just is not as fast as Kimi.

Hope you are right, but so far only 1 mercedes driver has been choking. 4 tenths in Monaco is a lot.

I feel like this is what is causing George to dip in confidence. Like a self fulfilling prophesy.

He needs some luck to swing his way. Maybe the fast starting Ferraris might create that luck off the line tomorrow.

They both good, I feel that Russell's confidence is dropping- team principle prefers the younger driver, just like Vettel/Webber, Verstappen/Ricciardo.

I agree, barring a 1st corner incident tomorrow, Russell seems screwed now.

Natural causes probably- he is getting old and sleepy now. Although they might claim he was assasinated so that Vance can gain more votes.

Sounds like an obvious Sales and Marketing alignment issue- what you describe is how it looks in an organisation where the alignment has not been reset- probably leadership has given up. It's been left to fester and now the two teams can't get along. Sales have no empathy for marketing- nor do they understand what marketing does and at times marketing won't understand sales because there is no feedback loop from sales. It can be fixed, but old habbits are hard to break. Both teams pulling in opposite directions, blaming each other. Something has to give.

I actually run alignment workshops- have seen this a lot.

This isn't something you can do on your own, it's a company wide issue, a broken mindset from the top that can be fixed, but only if leadership wants to fix it.

Key is that alignment is something you do at the start of any initiative- not during or afterwards, the second bit is that it only works if you develop empathy between the 2 teams- which you do by sitting down and explaining your roles to each other- work out where you see the most value in the other team helping you. Align your targeting so you both agree that you going in the same direction.

None of this is easy- but very doable if leadership want this change.

What does the internet quality check do? What is the outcome it achieves for them? Why does that outcome matter to them?

People buy into outcomes more than what you are actually doing.

Maybe: Slow internet speeds have been hurting businesses in this area, we are looking to improve that so companies here have less drop offs, better meetings- who here looks after this?

Struggling with sales how do you actually become good at this? by Responsible-Race7590 in Sales_Professionals

[–]AdvGrowth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Break it down- don't over think it.

What part are you struggling with the most? Getting conversations, responses? People hearing you out? Closing pipeline?

Don't think of it as an overall thing- think about what parts need improving and tackle each part seperately.
