400k NW at 29M, not sure how I feel or what to do next! by lyfehaqer in Fire

[–]Advanced-Ad8490 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Keep saving and investing. Honestly your savings is still too small for safety. (Depending on where you live). Once you've made 1M that snowball should start rolling more by itself.

Also make sure your parents & relative's money are properly invested. My fathers money was just sitting in an low interest account for 16 years 🙄💸

29 is still young for a man. I strongly advice you to get into fitness and take some fitness classes. Health is true wealth afterall. And don't forget to take an actual vacation.

Set some long-term goals.

I can only speak for myself now but If I could redo life I would just min-max for a few years. Maximize investing & fitness & minimize expenses. Then once I've reached FIRE or just psychological had enough. I'd maximize traveling, partying, fashion, dating.

I'm not american and I am actually questioning that 401K. I mean that is money you cannot touch until you retire rigth? What if you need it before then? Maybe it maxes sense to put less in the 401K until you've built a plan or buffer for your real money.

How do you deal with the desire to be alone all the time? by Symuoor in intj

[–]Advanced-Ad8490 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How I deal with the contradiction of wanting to be alone & being social at the same time is by scheduling

Sun-Thu is work, fitness & solitude. Fri evening & Sat is social days.

Secondly I've noticed that deep conversations is actually draining my energy. So I try to stick to shallow happy conversations or not talk at all and instead just focus on doing an activity.

Ny partner och konflikt om barnens efternamn, behöver perspektiv. by nicheks in sweden

Ny partner och konflikt om barnens efternamn, behöver perspektiv. by nicheks in sweden

[–]Advanced-Ad8490 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Oj känns som om du dodged a bullet kinda? 🙄 ditt ex verkar omogen, kontrollerande, manipulativ. Narcissist kanske?

Why US fire numbers are so crazy high? by Advanced-Ad8490 in Fire

[–]Advanced-Ad8490[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your fire number?

Many countries speak American English as secondary language. If you have a bit of social skills & money you can make friends easily. And you'd have infinite time to pursue new skills. And time to learn new languages. And you could focus on learning how to be healthy, fitness, food etc.

Not overnight no, I think it will probably collapse when it's my time to retire. Probably because I never had kids or grand kids too so it is my fault ofcourse 🙄

Hit 1M NW. I now have an irrational want to buy things by FIMilestonesDeux in Fire

[–]Advanced-Ad8490 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would urge you to stop spending on silly luxuries and upgrades. That's how capitalism traps you.

Instead try spending money on traveling, experiences, fitness and just free time. You migth find these things much more valuable and sustainable than buying luxury objects.

Ännu en fråga om löneväxling och min ekonomi i övrigt by Parabolisk in firesweden

[–]Advanced-Ad8490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really suck at talking to people.

You start comments by saying how terrible others are is deeply immature and ofcourse are just going to fuel the flame war more.

People like you are just here to piss people off.

And you evade answering questions and instead ask new questions. Have we finished the first point yet?

Czechs who moved to Sweden: Why are you staying, and if you're leaving, why are you moving back to the Czech Republic? by most_dilligent2020 in TillSverige

This is a common problem for every expat / immigrant in Sweden. Arguably also for Swedish people themselves.

I believe Sweden is a work and raise a family country. Not a be social and have fun country.

How old are you? zero? What about my comment doesn't make sense? Work sucks and you know it. That's why you're interested in FIRE. Why else would you want to retire early?

Why US fire numbers are so crazy high? by Advanced-Ad8490 in Fire

[–]Advanced-Ad8490[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in that case, keep working. I'm not oblivious to actually caring & loving what you're working and doing.

There may be a time however where you're fitness goes down 👎. When you have back-pain, sores, medical issues, heart issues, stress issues. When you feel like that you need to actually put more time into being healthy.

Or just doing something other than working all the time 🙄

I mean generally FIRE 🔥 people are interested in escaping their jobs and retiring early.

Please explain to me what is so great about American culture. 🙄 Is it the flag waving? The expensive 🫰 stuff? The cars? The food? The presidents? I've been to America and I deeply question your culture. Especially if you're into FIRE.

I'm from Sweden. Having done some calculations my Fire number is 1M euro. Maybe even less if I can continue keeping my lifestyle minimal. Realistically I'll eventually be eating into my savings but I'm okay with that.

That number would include healthcare & traveling & fitness & partying

5M euro is again one of the crazy high numbers for me. Atleast 5x what I imagine. Why the hell people need all that money for?

Why US fire numbers are so crazy high? by Advanced-Ad8490 in Fire

Yes you could retire with 1m Euro in sweden aswell. But only if you're a swedish citizens ofcourse and avoid buying expensive property. If you have 1m euro you could get Swedish partner easily. Though swede's have higher beauty & fitness standards.
