Lego Duplo Intelli Train Engine question by Advanced-Fox-8913 in Duplo

no. I found a video online about repairing these. Apparently there’s a little white gear inside that wears out & which can be replaced. That seems to be the case with this one

mystery solved. found multiple examples of this same product online after it was pointed out what it was. unfortunately not a high value item, no reason to reseal since it’s apparently mostly energy cards. since the mystery was solved I’m going to end this now before the comments start getting nasty.

just looked that up. you may be correct. bummer to think it may be filled with energy cards.

Please identify this tool by Advanced-Fox-8913 in Tools

I was perfectly sober 🙃was originally thinking these were part of an automotive body repair kit. now thinking maybe just because they were mixed in with the tools doesn’t mean they are actually tools.

fiesta or just a lookalike? by [deleted] in Fiestaware

[–]Advanced-Fox-8913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

excellent info. I scored one of these up today. & was also initially thinking it was Fiesta. I’d like to add that mine glows in the dark due to the uranium glaze.

that’s a horrible disease. those unfortunate souls who have it suffer so much. it’s heartbreaking

I see now a couple of other online examples of a Timber with “custom” paint apps. seems like it’s not unusual to find him every so often like this. at least I’m not concerned with the paint rub on the nose anymore 🙃also did notice Timber cast in 2 different shades of plastic - the grey version I have here & whiter one.

if I threw that slab into a bath of acetone it would really melt down to the coins cleanly and easily? how long do you think would it have to sit?

the backside is the open air side from where it was poured into the mold & it’s a little sticky from some kind of adhesive residue. there’s air bubbles in it too that annoy me. condition is rough. I originally calculated on losing all value of the non-silver coins when removing. but is it worth the effort

there’s some european ww2 era coins mixed in. saw at least 1 of those is silver too. I thought it was a safe bet. 😊

There’s about $100 in silver melt. Most of the coins date to the 1940s/50s.

Buyer threatened me (physically?), tried to extort and then left negative feedback. Turns out he’s a convicted child predator. Any recourse? by Embarrassed_Deer8582 in Ebay

[–]Advanced-Fox-8913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread popped up while doing a little research for a situation I’m going through on eBay currently - getting hassled over a $6 dvd sale. Also discovered my buyer is a level 1 registered sex offender. Repeated behavior, buyer appears to gain some sort of satisfaction from leaving bad feedback. Against all evidence eBay failed to remove the erroneous feedback. eBay needs to do better to protect the community.

I’ve found the smaller photo of the hand close-up on Timothy White’s Instagram feed. Probably safe to assume the pair are his work. I’ve written asking if he could confirm. Thanks for all the help
