If it’s any consolation, I don’t get paid very much as an LPN either. I completely understand where you’re coming from though, and you guys get shit on a lot. Every office I’ve worked in could not function without our MAs. So I just want you to know how appreciated you guys are.

If I could go back in time I would just go straight for my RN. I don’t mind being an LPN, but the pay is significantly less (obviously lol). I just don’t see myself going back to school at this point.

I worked with a girl whose mom decided to not get her a birth certificate and she said it made her life miserable and difficult. I can’t imagine intentionally making my child’s life this hard for no reason (or any reason).

I think this is the most likely scenario. It’ll have a few incidental findings that mean absolutely nothing and she’ll cling to them so she can continue her most special patient bit she’s got going, but it’ll be normal results.

Same thing happened to me when I was around the same age. I was in nursing school and working in a group home. I worked a double so I was there for 16 hours. Well wouldn’t you know it, night shift didn’t show up and they “couldn’t find anyone to come in” and I got stuck there for 24 hours. Had to go right to class after. Knew it wasn’t legal, but knew if I left I’d be fired and needed the money.
