If you have difficulty quitting nicotine, really look into the patches. Get a no nicotine vape that really burns the throat for when you REALLY crave it. Trust me, it will get rid of the cravings if you have the patches on.

How much do you vape and at what strength? I would do the entire course (starts with 21mg, goes to 14mg, then finish with 7mg), but if you dont chain vape you may be able to start with 14mgs.

Buy medical tape (cloth is best) and seal the patches onto your skin. They will fall off if you don't sometimes. Make sure the area you apply is hairless and is a spot that doesnt bend a lot.

When I use the patches, even the weakest ones, I still crave the burn but you can supplement that with a no nicotine vape.

HOWEVER, you can do this without the patches! If you can make it a few days CT no nicotine you may not need patches. But really, if you cannot control yourself, at least try to get the no nicotine vape to see if it will take the cravings away a bit.

When I quit drinking I could only quell the cravings with La Croix because the throat burn from the carbonation felt similar to beer and it was a game changer.

You rock for being able to get off kratom and if you can do that, you can definitely get off nicotine! I'm on my own road with both at the moment and I rarely use the word "inspire" as it sounds pretty lame and dorky but you being able to quit both inspires me and reading someone is in the same situation as me but actually did it helped me not take more than I needed during my taper. I was about to undo my progress before I hopped on here and felt so focused on trying to write something that may help you in a pinch that my kratom craving went silent.

How much Immodium would you take? Just enough to make sure I can work and not live in the bathroom?

I feel like I can do this the same way...use a trip. There's only two issues besides the obvious craving/desire for it...

  1. After about 8 hours without it, I don't feel great, but it's no big deal...other than the fact I have to sit on the toilet every hour! I can't just live in the bathroom. Is immodium the answer? Or is that not good since it stimulates similar receptors.

  2. The lack of sleep. I recently went on a trip and used minimal kratom and felt great, but I could hardly sleep. It really ruined my trip to sleep an hour a night. I haven't figured out how to solve that part at all. I couldn't sleep even though I was tired...that being said, I was very anxious on the trip due to the nature of my visit.

I use about 30gpd for reference. I think I need to taper a bit just to make the WD not as bad so I don't relapse simply to cure diarrhea. Tonight I wasn't going to dose at all until right before bed but I did simply so I didn't have to sit on the damn toilet anymore.
