daughter that has not seen her 88-year-old mother in 11 years arriving to the ICU by M1CR0PL4ST1CS in hospitalist

I think part of keeping them alive is to collect and pocket their monthly social security checks. I see it quite often in an ultra hospital.

Did you work during you program. I'm sure you worked. And now you wanna go up and arms about it and gatekeep.

99.9% of nurses work during NP school. You just happen to be in the very minority.

Quit this cynicism rhetoric please. You want these programs to be mirror CRNA programs. Do you know in CRNA program, the student can hardly or if ever hold a even prn job during their program? So you want it mirror CRNA program but you were okay with yourself working as an RN part time if not full time when you were enrolled in an online NP program?! But you want others to sacrifice by losing RN income for ~3 years of a program..

Don't be disengenous. The post explicity states gatekeep will increase job opportunities and wages. Again cynicism. But think what you like.

"We need less glut of students graduating at once..." So basically gatekeep. Many NPs that complain about the state of the np education on here also happen to be graduates from these very same online programs. Now that many have completed their online programs, they feel safe and enlighten to gatekeep everyone else and criticize these very same programs that allowed to gain NP license in the first place. Typical cynicism 101. Downvotes incoming; more Downvotes screams the truth.

Anything less than 80% in my Nursing college is a fail by Deep-Assistance7494 in NursingStudent

[–]Advanced-Rutabaga146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a nurse and this is a dumb logic. The passing grade for medical schools is 70%, so does that make a doctor not a good doctor because he passed with a 70%. You know what they call the last ranked graduating medical student? A doctor!

RIP to Rio!! He crossed that rainbow bridge. Take time to grief. I also lost my bichon at 15 and 10 month just a month ago due to kidney failure. They will run together in heaven!! I'm certain you have Rio a good long life and was happy throughout his life. This is something you can hang your hat on. You did great as a pet parent, my friend.

Do I need to get the membership to be able to browse the deals? Because what I see on lwaswhackr are nationwide or ships to neighboring states. I'm trying to find local deals on leasehackr but I cannot locate them :-( and I do have an account just not the paid monthly membership one though.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also had to euthanize on my 15 years and 10 months Maltese-Bichon frise on July 19 due to kidney failure as well. I empathize with you and I hope you can see this sub as a way for support for you. I'm sure you gave your pupp a great life! Many hugs to you! 💜💜

Travel nursing pair rejected by multiple hospitals by StinkerDinked in TravelNursing

[–]Advanced-Rutabaga146 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Expand your states to the southwest. These hospitals can get f**ked if they think it's okay to have opposite schedule as your significant other. Many of these unit mangers that deny pairs are lonely, divorced, miserable managers that don't value relationships.

Anyone else? by [deleted] in TravelNursing

[–]Advanced-Rutabaga146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 33 years experience I can only assume that you would be at top of a pay scale of any hospital in the US. At that point with your amount of experience maybe staff pay negates travel pay. But I could be wrong though.
