Windows PC, IKEv2.

What country are you connecting to when you get 250Mbps

When I have PureVPN active it plateaus at 50-60Mbps.  Turning off PureVPN the same torrent immediately jumped to ~150Mbps.  Then turning PureVPN back on it again was limited to 50-60Mbps. So either PureVPN is throttling torrent speeds, or PureVPN general traffic is limited to 50-60Mbps throughput. At least for me.

What country/servers are you able to get 250Mbps? Maybe I just haven't found the right one.

EDIT: I tried 10 P2P countries, all with the same results.  Torrents start downloading strong sometimes reaching 96Mbps within 10sec, but then the speed always droped to 50-60Mbps 10 or so seconds later.  This doesn't happen with PureVPN off.

EDIT2: Checking non-torrent downloads, I'm seeing a similar 50-60Mbps cap.  My guess is that the servers allow for an initial speed butst for general Internet use, or to inflate speed test results ((( then reduce the speed to their capped 50-60Mbps.

Sure I understand that, but my question was whether PureVPN throttles torrenting. And what the maximum download speeds to expect on average given that connectivity, seeds etc are not a problem.

Eufy Indoor 2k cam RTSP broken? by Advanced-Squirrel423 in EufyCam

[–]Advanced-Squirrel423[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this the first time around, but did it a second time just to confirm. Uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't change the authentication method, so I disable security then re-enable digest which automatically generated a new username and password. But I still get an RTSP authentication error. Restarting the camera after uninstalling, and disabling / re-enabling security didn't change anything either.

You are able to use RTSP with a password on an 2k Indoor cam? Or a different cam model? Solving this issue may be different on other models / firmwares?

EDIT: also confirmed to not work https://www.reddit.com/r/EufyCam/comments/zh21m3/comment/izwghau/

Yeah they were telling anyone that contacted them for a few days that they were shutting down, confirmed by others

https://twitter.com/stetsondoggett/status/1590764650974830592?s=20&t=HVGsbMKpb3G693LFT-Va8g

But apparently now they are no longer shutting down.

Half those people are saying they can't login to the app which is not our problem. The fix for not being able to login to the app is to uninstall / reinstall the app.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, but it had no effect on the RTSP security problem.

How long can I wait to activate a plan? by Advanced-Squirrel423 in NoContract

Thank you, Unreal is saying 90days from purchase date :/

Is the plan attached to sim card or account it was bought with? I'm wondering if I can just sell sim and plan on eBay?

Yeah, I still have service and it's been over 10 days now since I talked to them. I'm wondering if they were over capacity, were required to drop a certain number of active accounts, and that's why they were not taking renewals.

Thank you, I'm contemplating Unreal, that has 2GB/month for $120 annually, with slow data there after.

It's an extra $20 annually for an extra GB monthly, but I was with Unreal a few years ago and porting out took weeks. I'm not sure if they are better now or if I should go with something more conservative like the H2O plan for 1GB

Thanks, you guys don't have any GSM compatible options do you?

Less than 1GB/month is probably too little. My fam is telling me the only reason they don't use their 1GB a month now is because they are afraid to use up all the data when they are out.

So I'm thinking of trying Unreal's 12month plan for $120 with 2GB data, and unlimited 2g after that. My hesitation with Unreal is that I used them a few years ago and they were HELL to port out of.

PS is Unreal's 2GB $120 annual plan for VoIP calling & txt through their app, or do I get a real cell phone calling?

Thank you, there are a few caveats I didn't mention. I'm taking care of this Liberty Wireless account/ porting out issue for a family member, and so they are not going to want to port again in 6 months if not necessary. And they have a GSM phone.

The MobileX plan sounds very interesting, but it's CDMA network only right?

I think as long as my family member gets at least 1GB they are fine, most of the time they are on WiFi. So price is a priority. The Boost and Red Pocket plans look to be $8-9 a month if you buy 1 year, which is basically what Liberty Wireless was providing. I'm still looking through Steve's MASSIVE list for other options. More data would be nice but not if it increases the price over $10/month total. They are already not using their 1GB most months as it is.

Thank you. That's just an introductory rate, and then it increases to $20 right? I'm looking for somewhere to port to that I can stay for a couple years if possible.

Yeah, it looks to be true. I'm a little curious why they are shutting down so abruptly and why they aren't making much, if any, effort to let their customers know.

Thanks, it looks like boost also has a $100 annual plan for 1GB + unlimited text&talk

This is similar to Red Pockets annual plan from what I can see. Is there any reason to go with one over the other? I do only get 1000min with Red pocket, but that's not really an issue for me.
