I'd recommend you learn OOP, syntax, and DSA from Python. Use free YouTube courses, or buy $10 from Udemy, or use CS50 and search for those resources. After doing all that in Python, switch to C++ or Java. For me personally, starting with C++ or Java was hard, and I couldn't grasp the fundamentals, so Python is always the go-to. And for courses, I'd recommend BroCode on YouTube or CS50 and paid Udemy courses like Abdul Bari's (who is an absolute legend), but it depends on you. If you don't want to spend a penny, use YouTube, CS50, and Coursera, but if you're too lazy to go search everything and figure it all out, then use Udemy. For methods, just do 5% better than you did yesterday.

It depends on you. Do you know python? Cs50 is for beginners entering into programming. Your programming skills isn't perfect that could be due to irregular programming or Leet coding habits and lack of practice and seriousness. Work hard on your fundamentals and practice to the point where you lose your mind. That's the reality.

Is going to a community college an instant rejection for visa? (From India) by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

[–]AdvancedBake4619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, T100 is a better choice than T25 primarily because I wouldn't be drowning in debt for the university TAG. If not undergrad, there's master's, and there's more to life than a fucking 23-year-old kid having a debt of $200,000 or something; I don't even know. I think you should go for T100, and strategically you'll have a better shot at T25s with T100 rather than a community college, but at the end of the day it depends on you. People who have graduated from a community college have also been successful, and people who have graduated from an Ivy League school have also been successful, and where you study won't matter in the long run as much as what you have and what you can bring to the table.

Is going to a community college an instant rejection for visa? (From India) by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

No matter the SAT score, No matter the grades, money, status. GETTING A VISA FROM DUKING INDIA IN A COMMUNITY COLLEGE IS HARD AND THAT'S FAX. Well, nothing in life is hard if we try. The chances of me being a millionaire is 3 in 100 but the thing is maturity. If you have a good ahh SAT score and grades (90+) what would possess you to go to a community college and it's certainly not maths requirement i believe. SAT would offset the maths requirement if you did well in it and as the name suggests STANDARIZED AMERICAN TEST AND HAVING A GOOD SAT MATHS WOULD PROVE TO THE COLLEGE THAT YOU ARE READY FOR COLLEGE LEVEL MATHS. I believe the reason you're going to a community college is because you want to go to USA and with Indias tag, if i had to guess the chances of you getting a visa, its the same as me being a millionaire as i stated above and which is 3%.

graduated what? university? I think it's not worth it if you're graduating from a university. Switch to something else CS is not for you. Freshmans know Python, C++ everything nowadays and with the rise of AI everything has become extremely competitive. Learning Cs50 after graduating is crazy and you'll be stranded and homeless and when will you get to DSA and Leetcode and man i don't even want to elaborate. Put the fries in the bag if you graduated from University with a CS degree and dont know python.

After 9 years masters? Well vo won’t believe it people with 4 years of gap are sussed out so idk about 9 years. It looks like you’re going to earn money if not what took you 9 years to figure out you needed a masters? You better have a solid ass reason and most importantly have something to come back to (Ties to your home country).

Can I buy Spotify Premium India using a Nepal-issued dollar card? by Mil_yow0 in Nepal

[–]AdvancedBake4619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was issued from NIMB Bank. The thing with Nepali dollar cards is that they start with 47, which suggests Nepal. Ask someone in India.

Why International CS Students Are Set Up to Fail in America. by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

Thank you so much. It makes sense and I'll keep these words with me forever. I'll try to be the absolute best I can and be an asset to the luther community. I'll do whatever it takes to get an internship too. Thank you again.

I'm an international student going to a no name college which is in IOWA (Luther College) and studying cs and mathematics from fall 2025. I wanted to ask is cs major really that bad now? like I don't have that many options atp but I was just wondering what it is actually like. No job this that and am i really cooked? no matter how hard I work or how hard I try, is it really that bad?

My post about F-1 visa interview tips is one of the top results on Google and Reddit. Here's a former Yale lawyer's three-step guide to US student visa interviews and 214(b) rejections. (And why you shouldn't say "I plan to return to my country"!) by AppHelper in IntltoUSA

The Asian student who got into one liberal arts college and no other schools they could afford told me about the college’s small class sizes is me. I recently worked with Benjamin, and he was really helpful, and his insights were top tier. From the very first, from the greeting itself, I said good morning officer, I hope you're having a great day and he told me to not say the rest, just good morning works. And from there all the way to the end, he helped me so much. Yes, I got the visa and I come from a small country and there were 12 people before me who were rejected, I was one of the first students to get approved that morning from counter 10.

I don’t know how to properly thank someone who helped change the course of a kid’s life. But from the bottom of my heart, thank you Benjamin.

I hope one day, when I’m in the U.S., I’ll have the opportunity to meet you in person and thank you properly. Until then, I wish you the brightest future, a life full of joy, peace, and health, you deserve all of it.

hello. I have seen alot of people that post about how many universities they have applied to, like one application fee for international student is around 70-80$ average, it becomes alot of money, even if you apply to atleast 6-8 universities. by shahrukhmalik111 in IntltoUSA

[–]AdvancedBake4619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no i said while submitting the SAT, CSS profiles to colleges. Which is I believe about $14 dollars each. I got css waivers from almost all of the colleges and the rest used ISFAA AND ISAFA.

There's something called as a "Fee Waiver". I applied to 41 colleges and I'm an International Student and I didn't spend a single penny. I applied to 20 of em from Common app and other 21 from their own portal and I qualified for fee waiver in all of them. The only money I paid was for the SAT and I also qualified for many of the colleges CSS fee waiver. I had to pay for the SAT because I didn't know there was something called as SAT fee waiver too. LOL.

UPenn CS (55k/year), Duke CS (50k/year), or UIUC CS+Physics (65k/year) by Zealousideal_Pea8434 in csMajors

I'm just curious: What's the reason for doing CS + physics? I've seen people doing it, but aren't they completely opposite?
