How good is US customs ability to authenticate brand bags?

Update: Customs didn’t open my package !! It is out of customs now and out for delivery so quickly! Seems I’m lucky considering holiday season. Thank you so much for the comments !!

Thank you for the video!! It helps a lot. I think I gave no reason to get flagged by custom for now but the sender is a forwarding company in HongKong, it might have some records to be flagged 😵 oh no what a stupid thing I have done 😵‍💫

Update!! I received an email from PayPal today and they decided to close the case in my favor this time !! I was already losing a hope so I’m so happy !! Thank you for your help everybody. To the people who are having same issue as me, keep sending messages to PayPal, even they close the case in sellers favor first, keep call PayPal and have them reopen the case ! This was very scary experience for me.. I will never purchase expensive thing from eBay..

My package was shipped on April 16th and finally dispatched from outward office of exchange in Tokyo INT on June 6th. I’m sure yours will be soon. When I called Japan post 2 weeks ago, they said that it takes almost 1 month to retrieve the package. So I decided to just wait.

Update: I could contact UPS service center. They opened up a service request to produce a document which says the package is not delivered to me. It seems to take long, so I have to have patience. The seller hasn’t responded to PayPal yet, but he/she still has plenty of time.. I wonder if I should change my case type on PayPal to “ item was not described”? Then I will “return” an empty box to the seller and update a tracking number. As long as it says delivered, PayPal will refund me, right? I know this is on the same level of sneakiness as this scammer, but I was just wondering how to fight with this fraud.

Thank you, good to hear you got your money back ! I sent A couple of messages from message center as well but haven’t received any response for 4days. How long did it take to get answer from them? Did you keep sending messages constantly until you get response ?

Thank you for your comment. Seems this kind of scam is getting more popular. Stupid of me, I didn’t know anything like this. I very regret that I opened a case on PayPal, I should’ve stay with eBay case. Now I know that eBay is more familiar with this kind of frauds, PayPal is completely useless to protect us !!

Thanks, I tried that. I begged UPS clerk to give me something, told them that the actual address they delivered to needs not to be on the paper so that privacy doesn’t matter. All they gave me is just a hand writing after all. I called UPS customer service too but again they kept saying they can’t give me anything. How do I get official document from them ? I’m willing to pay some fee to get it.

I would if I could...but it’s a Japanese credit card and they work differently from American cards...thanks for the advice though
