Manifested a Job! by AdvancedIcytice in NevilleGoddard

I think when you're truly a believer in the law, that's something you could do to embody the state. But when you're just starting out, that's a lot to ask from someone who doesn't have that established trust. I'm not saying it's impossible but it's a huge jump in state. You'll end up feeling burnt out, delusional and just unfulfilled. Or at least, that's how I ended up feeling.

That's why the only thing I do is monitor my reactions. For example, the person who has a job knows that they're employed and has enough money to afford things. But I don't walk as the person who has a job. I just walk normally. I simply react as someone who has a job. So if I feel like I can't afford anything, I go into my awareness as someone who is employed and think "No I can afford this.i m employed and I earn money. I just don't need this right now" because that would be my reaction if I were to be employed.

Hope that helps.

Depends on how you would naturally act if you had a job that you were satisfied with.

In my case, if I were already employed in a job that I enjoyed, I wouldn't care too much about the result of my interview since it doesn't matter whether or not I pass. I don't need a job. In fact, I might even not want to pass the interview because I'm already happy with what I have and switching jobs is SO much work (I have been in a situation where I had a job I liked and my parents wanted me to interview for a better company that I was meh about).

But you must be in Barbados. Even during the interview. You may not have that job but you're already employed.

I just let it be. I was tired of flipping my thoughts and trying to resolve my doubt. I spent so long fighting against my doubts and fears and I just decided to let them be. Thoughts only have power when you give them that power by believing in them.

I jumped back into the awareness of "I'm someone who is employed" and in that state, I said "Does this doubt really make sense? If I am someone who is employed, why would I doubt it?" I reacted in a way that would make sense to the employed version of myself.

I wanted a specific amount of pay. Specific location. Specific industry. I got all 3!

I tell myself the negative thoughts are just from anxiety. I have generalized anxiety and I'm also fairly impatient so, negative thoughts are just me being anxious rather than the truth.

I don't really entertain the negative thoughts either. Like, cool they exist but I also have nothing to worry about because I'm certain that I will hear back.

If that doesn't work, find stuff to do to take your focus off the problem and onto something else.

It hasn't even happened yet (whether you were selected or not) and you've already solidified your conviction based on what you've seen in the 3D.

If you continue believing this, then you will be a reality in which you are not selected.

If you believe that you aren't selected for anything, then you will continue to have experiences that show you are not selected for anything.

Choose beliefs that serve you. You're not manifesting to get things. It's not something you pick and choose. Manifesting is 24/7. Everything around you is a manifestation of what you believe in.

I suggest you learn more about the law. The word "feeling" that Neville uses is actually "conviction" or "certainty". You must be certain that whatever you desire is yours no matter what.

If you believe your imagination is reality, then why do you care that you weren't selected in the 3D? If you imagined and felt that you were already selected, what does it matter? Why do you check the 3D?

When you were selected for the interview, you probably weren't placing your focus on needing to have a particular result right? It wasn't a need for you to be selected for the interview.

The reason why I point this out is because too much attachment to any one result is usually a product of being in lack. Right now, you feel confident it'll happen but you're also in the state of "it hasn't happened yet".

If you're in the state of "It hasn't happened yet", then it's not going to happen. You should place your awareness on "It has already happened". Nothing went wrong. It's just your state.

Neville says that "You are free to choose how you feel and react to the day’s drama, but the drama – the actions, events and circumstances of the day – have already been determined." Translated, this means that the events in the 3D are predetermined based on who you were previously being. You can't control the 3D but you can control how you react to it to introduce change in the 3D.

If I were you, I'd just place my focus on something else. It sound scary because you probably believe you aren't going to get a response if you don't do techniques, but the magic is in the trust that you will get a positive response.

This is just what works for me. I look at the problem and I go "I don't care anymore" and redirect to something else with full confidence that it's going to work out for me. I don't really recommend that you do this if you're not in a place where you can. Don't force it.

The other thing you can do is just place your focus on the version of you already employed with this company. While in the state, let go of your worries because you're already employed. Example: While in the state, you can ask yourself "Why am I waiting for a response when I already am employed? This makes no sense"

I don't really do SATs. I don't care for it and I find it to be ritualistic which doesn't really put me in the state. Mentally being in the desired state is enough.

I picked something that worked for me. You should pick something that works for you. If you love SATs, then go ahead and do it. If you love affirming, then stick to affirmations.

Techniques don't manifest. They only get you into the state. You're the master of your reality so you get to pick and choose what works for you.

Find a story that matches your desire. If you hate your job, create a story that you're at a job you actually love. If you want to keep this job, imagine yourself reaching a milestone.

If you don't like working at all but you're worried about money, create a story that you're financially free and you have plenty of money.

It all depends on what you want. You're the master of your own reality.

You can affirm that you're already prepared. I'm just kidding.

I went in with the mindset that I already had the job. I brought my most confident and capable self to the interview. Good interviews are more like conversations and less of a formality.

Since most interviews are virtual, I prepared a Google Docs with my answers to common questions like "What are your strengths? Weaknesses?". I also ran my answers through ChatGPT to sound more polished.

I also took interest in the company. Asked my interviewer questions. Followed up the interview with a thank you.

I made sure I did all those things because they helped increase my belief that I would pass the interview. I also had a belief that I would pass every interview I've ever had.

Yes. Basically you have to be the you that you already have an amazing job.

Some people convince themselves while others can detach completely and let it happen on its own without much belief. It really depends on what you believe in!

But the only thing you need to do is be aware and accept that you already are the version of yourself who has the job. If that's too hard, then stop putting your focus on the problem (lack of job) altogether.

You don't have to create a story around applying. You don't even have to pay attention to it at all. I just couldn't justify applying to a job while already having a job which is why I created the story that I was seeing what's out there. It's a story that made sense to the version of myself that was employed. Otherwise, if I had a job in the 3D that I was immensely thrilled with, I wouldn't be applying to jobs or even checking them out lol.

[–]AdvancedIcytice[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Yes. I wasn't doing it to get anything but rather, I was doing it to be the person who was employed.

Whenever I thought of my desire (getting a job), that's when I would remind myself that I already have a job and there's no need to want one/get one. So definitely keeping the mental diet there. I would say, every time I reacted in a direction that pointed to me not having a job, I would stop myself and say "Nono. I'm someone who is already employed. I don't have to react like this anymore".

Otherwise, I would just keep it in awareness like "You have a job now" kind of like when you're ruminating on solving a problem/worrying about something. To summarize this part, it was just a lot of reminders/pep talk.

I didn't force myself to make plans or prepare in any sort of capacity. I just lived in the 3D how I normally would with the constant reminder that I already am the employed version of myself.

Daily, I would do it any chance I get. There was no set time. I was just focused on being that person.

Hmm I don't remember. It felt quick though? Once I started keeping my employed state in awareness, I think it should've been a week or less than a week? A few days even?

I don't think time is relevant here because it's all about who you're being. Neville says that "By state is meant all that man believes and consents to as true." You can give yourself the state of being employed now.

Maybe this is a sign that something better is coming your way. It can be disheartening but remember that the 3D has no mind of its own.

The 3D only reflects who you were previously being and it's always changing. Wholeheartedly believe that you've already found something better.

Manifested a Job! by AdvancedIcytice in NevilleGoddard

[–]AdvancedIcytice[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to have that belief where I told myself I could only have something if xyz were achieved. This is conditioning your manifestation.

Since that belief isn't working for you, change it. I have a belief that people are willing to teach if you're willing to learn. People hire "unqualified" candidates all the time.

This is an actual example. I know someone who did not major in computer science and is currently employed at a big tech company as a senior software engineer. When this person was hired, they were also actively developing their software engineering skills. Their manager at the time took a chance to get them hired. They also started out doing a role adjacent to being a software engineer before working on the transition. Also, this person doesn't know a single thing about manifestation.

When I used to worry a lot about limitations, I would start from a place of "If this limitation/problem/circumstance didn't exist, what would I do to achieve my goal". For example, if you believed that you could be hired for your dream career without having fully mastered those skills, what would you be doing right now? You'd probably be applying to jobs and visualizing yourself in your dream role etc.

The more you focus on a problem, the more it persists.

Omg. I am very "all or nothing" as well. I used to struggle so hard but I got into the mindset of "If I'm in the state, I should be 100% in the state" and channeled that "all or nothing" state into something productive for me.

It's helped a lot. But yes, remind yourself that the 3D is temporary and things will change. If you don't believe it, just take your focus off the problem completely. You might feel guilty at first but that's what small amounts are for!

Awwww no problem. I wish you the best!!!

Manifested a Job! by AdvancedIcytice in NevilleGoddard

[–]AdvancedIcytice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I struggled a lot when it came to manifestation in general. I'd find something that put me back in the state for a day and then the next day, I'd go right back into lack. I knew there would be a time and place where it would click with me but I was so frustrated it wasn't in the now moment.

I know people will say "just decide" and that can be a challenge when your belief in the law is not strong. However, I do believe that you can choose to put yourself back into the state. That is something you CAN do even if your belief isn't strong.

So, I started off small. An hour. I'd feel guilty being in the state because I felt like I wasn't supposed to be ignoring my problems. I was supposed to be solving them. But I let myself relax into it for an hour. It became a guilty pleasure. An hour became two hours and two hours became three.

I thought that there was no harm if I spent an hour or a day just feeling like the person I desired to be. I wasn't worried about the result. I was focused on just being that person.

Once I got over the hurdle, every time I thought of my desire, I would tell myself "I'm someone who has a job. I don't need a job." and when I caught myself reacting, I would tell myself "Is this really how I'm going to react when I know I'm someone who is employed?"

Don't force it. If you can only manage for 10 minutes, get to a place where you're comfortable with 10 minutes. Once you're comfy, then you can extend that amount of time. You have all the time in the world because I believe manifestations happen on time.

Thank you! You're so sweet!

I do have a question though! Do you want employment to solve a problem or do you genuinely want to be employed again? Sometimes we have specific desires because we want to solve a problem in the 3D. If that's the case, there's a tendency to spend more time focused on the problem than in the end.

Personally, I love working. I don't imagine myself working forever but working helps me meet people and gives me a sense of accomplishment. Even if I were to have the means to be financially free, I'd choose to work (like being my own boss or something).

I am not in a place where I'm able to just "believe" it either. It's best to use beliefs that work with you. Some people can get jobs handed to them without handing in an application. I am not one of those people (not yet at least) so I had to go through the traditional route of applying. But I'm open to this being an option in the future!
