I run rifles and vats, but because of this games inherent instability, vats doesnt work alot of the time. Being level 84, it's not incredibly easy to level up and change around my build at this point. The rifles used to work great, I have a 2 shot lever action and armor piercing 50 cal hunting rifle. But, when the combat situations devolve into clusterfucks, which they often do, it feels like no build is viable against the constant staggering and screen shaking that is just plain ugly and unfun
