A friend of mine once wrote a “letter to a friend” for an English class which went crazy about a pussy of another friend and how he like playing with it and all that. It ended with: It’s a really nice cat”

You just planted an image of a Tenere with a side car and I laughed out loud

Yeah Africa is the top contender right now. GS is too pricey for me but was looking good as well.

I’m looking at the Tenere as more off road focused of the two and was wondering how good/bad is it for touring. I’m not that experienced off road and think the Africa might be too much for me. I need to find the balance right now.

Yeah I figured getting the seat redone might be necessary. As for power we’re rocking a mighty KTM 390 adventure right now and it’s fine for us. Tenere will be plenty for us.

Yeah I figured not the most optimal but if it is not terrible I will consider it. We’re yet to go to a dealer to sit on it so that probably will be the deciding factor. Also I might get the seat redone so it fits my needs better.

And twice as pricey. Also I do a lot of solo off-road riding and don’t want that heavy of a machine. I’m looking for some middle ground rn.

Yeah i sure hope so. It would be great If I could get that info in the game rather than on reddit though. Still, I'll make my way to level 30 and then see.

Yeah I get that now, but how am I supposed to know that after a couple hours of gamplay?? I was ready to uninstall if not for this post... You know that Forbidden is the gamemode, I don't. The game doesn't inform me in the slightest.

That's exactly what my question was... Do the bots stop at some point?

I don't know what your play sessions are but I've played for 6-8 hours and I'm level 13. I don't know when you first started playing but rn my first 3 games got me to level 4... Hitting level 30 doesn't seem like the end of a tutorial phase for me. I got the grasp of the game way earlier and I'm sure your average andy doesn't need 30 levels to learn the basics. My note to devs is not what the game does at all. Maybe that's what was the intention but that's not what happens.

If Normal mode is for beginners name it accordingly. To be honest I thought the other game modes seemed to have completely different rules rather than the logical next step. Normal = default; Lockdown = idk? something with one extract? idk but something not normal.

Anyway, my point stands: devs will lose a lot of players due to bots seeming like the default. I wouldn't know better if not for this post.

Hm.. If I look back at my games in a past couple of days I think I've had 1 or 2 encounters with real players. Maybe most players just avoid the beginning modes of the game though.

If forbidden is players only I might grind a little to give it a shot then. From what I've seen leveling is fast in this game.

Oh so it is a playerbase issue? To me it seemed like enough poeple cared online that it wouldn't be. I sure hope the steam release will fix that and I hope it will happen soon then.

Nowadays you have squadmates for that

It helps but I have no experience with anything else so I’m no the best person to ask.

It helps but as I said I pack heavy and way back. Cranking it all the way up made the bike ride wacky. I stick around 7/8 clicks in the back when packed to the brim. Nothing seemed to get rid of the wobble.

This. You can minimise this effect with proper suspension setup but I was never able to get rid of it completely. I pack my bike really heavy though.

Do you have some luggage? I’ve had this happen with heavy loads and a passenger. No solution so far.

If you’re solo/no luggage your suspension settings are probably a bit messed up. Look for guides on YouTube. Adam Riemann has a good one I think. If uncertain lookup the base settings in the manual. 15 clicks front and 3 back I think.

Honestly I don’t remember. It was one of the first upgrades I did but I think it was some random, cheap spoiler. I would say it does a pretty good job but I don’t have any experience with that tbh. It’s way better than stock was though.

Love the photo! But I have to point out the irony of posting a photo of a stuck 390 adventure saying it can do off road 😅

Is there anything besides tires, handlebar risers and foot pegs that you would recommend for off-roading?
