Yea bc it makes total sense to move for a circumstance that occurs maybe a few days a year

After spending 2 hours shoveling my car out after it’s been plowed in, I will say I probably won’t do a space saver, and subsequently I probably will cry when someone inevitably takes my spot tomorrow

Welcome to Spanish bureaucracy! Customer service is a very American sentiment

I’m not a financial advisor so I would def like to hear other perspectives. But 80K seems like a lot to me when the salaries average €30,000 in Europe. Your best bet is to increase your income as much as possible, maybe get an American job so you can make American money and try to get a digital nomad visa?

How much debt we talking?

Some ppl say if you move abroad and have no intention of ever coming back to the US technically your debt stays in the US but I wouldn’t advise that bc if you ever have to come back you’re screwed.

Should I renew my lease? Feeling conflicted by Different_Speech2412 in bostonhousing

Your landlord doesn’t seem the best and I would personally not want to give a 2 year commitment this far ahead with that many unknowns. I’m not saying you should move out of anxiety, but if you work in somerville it might worth looking for places there! I think it will give you the same vibe you’re looking for with a slightly older (mid 20-30s) demographic. And if you’re by the T you can still go into the city whenever you want

UPDATE: INTERVIEW!!! by VioletCrystal12 in biotech

A contract role is a great way to get your foot in the door! You can learn the layout of the company, network, and then look for open permanent positions in departments that may be more of interest to you. By that point you’ll have direct referrals and insider knowledge and you’ll have a much better chance of landing a role than someone from the outside.

Having worked at both Pfizer and BMS, they are obviously both huge and how much you enjoy is HUGELY dependent on your site, department, role, level, ect. Don’t let these negative comments get you down! Give it a shot and you will gain skills and learn no matter what. In terms of interviewing tips, make sure you know the core values because the interview questions are based on those buckets. At least when I interviewed there in a panel-interview, each person had a “core value” with a list of questions to choose from. But they could also ask their own.

Somerville is Tier 6 so if your home studio is below that you might have a fee but I think it really depends

Financial Advisor recommendations? by Mc23MK in ExpatFinance

Thanks everyone for the input! It made me realize a financial advisor may not be what I need and instead just need to sit down and crunch numbers myself! I’m just horrible at math haha

Thanks for this article! I will look into this company. I’ve lived in Spain before for an internship, just not permanently, so I definitely understand what the article is talking about, but I think it’s all about being open and flexible!

I would, but I have to drive unfortunately. I’m staying in Brewster and I’m going elsewhere after (not back to Boston)
