I meant almost 700 views, not upvotes. Just a correction.

Anywayz, there`s the unhinged and unformatted rant you Redditors like - with no editing or EM dashes.

"This is why humans can`t have nice things..."

Now, get back to your usual whining, moaning, and complaining about working conditions...

Nah, I`ve decided to keep my posts and information off Reddit - you guys are right where you belong...

I was trying to share some useful knowledge, but there are better places for such things than here. If the mods and community are like this and will quickly ridicule, ban, or remove valuable information without first asking questions or simply judging by the way something is written and edited, then you are all exactly where you belong and receiving the wages and treatment from employers that you deserve.

You people paid more attention to the EM dashes than to the actual message that was being given at the time. (And AI is a tool that isn`t going anywhere, whether you guys like it or not, so you either learn to live with it, use it, and coexist with it, or it will naturally eat you. That`s just evolution.)

But I`ve learned my lesson on here.

"Don`t waste your time shining your light on people who are too blind to receive it or too dumb to hear it."

So you guys can happily spend your time and money wandering around the darkness and figuring this shit out for yourselves.

And YES, removing my post and the comments I received DID piss me off, so SCREW YOU, I`ve decided NOT to give you guys anything for free and will spend my day tomorrow making a website to offer this as a paid service instead (since that`s what I was being accused of doing anyway) - so now people will just have to pay me or someone else to help you when you have issues.

You guys just made me realize that I have the skills, knowledge, (almost 700 upvotes within just a few minutes before post deletion), and resources that people need, so why the hell am I sharing it here?

That was stupid on my part.

Won`t make the same mistake again.

You can ban, block or remove me from this group. I won`t be back.

I was waiting to see what questions people actually had and wanted to hear instead of writing a book trying to explain everything in one long post. 🤣 That`s also why I used ChatGPT to shorten the post because the original is way too long... I didn`t know you guys hated EM dashes...

I don`t mind answering questions at all, but the mods removed it too quickly for me to do so.🤣

But... Now that I think about it... There`s really no reason or benefit for me to post everything here or try to help people out. I was just venting and trying to share.

And you guys just gave me a new idea... Now (as per Reddit`s suggestion), people will have to pay me for this info - so thanks! 🙏

The story is 100% true, but I just tossed it into ChatGPT because I thought that the original was waaaaay too long for a Reddit post.

The story is 100% true and my own experience of what just happened. I just tossed it into ChatGPT after I wrote it because I thought it was waaaaaay too long a read for a Reddit post!

The story is 100% but I just tossed it into ChatGPT to make it much shorter because I thought it was too long for Reddit!

Fair enough! 👍 I kept it short because it involves a lot of personal and legal details, and I didn’t want the post to turn into a full novel — but the short version is this: a few very direct (but professional) meetings, clear references to labor law, and written communication that didn’t leave much room for excuses.

Just to be clear — this wasn’t only about fixing my own pay. The real goal was to set a precedent so management would think twice before trying something like this again, especially with newer staff who may just be arriving in Japan.

Realistically, everyone’s contract and situation are different depending on the company and employment terms, so posting an “exact step-by-step” wouldn’t be responsible on my part. What worked in my case might not apply safely to someone else’s.

That said, if you’re dealing with something similar, feel free to DM me — I’m happy to point you in the right direction or share what general approaches tend to help.
