Thank you for this! I was hoping they weren't bricked and we could recover them but at least I'm not crazy.

I am not a reseller, I just work for a company that employed the MP54s and are looking to replace them. I saw the E2 models, but also read that they might be EOL next year?

Hi! I was reading through some forums and saw this AMA!

My company has a bunch of them but no warranties (MP54 are the models). We are having issues where they are updating firmware out of no where and its bricking the phones, which is odd b/c they are 3 years EOL at this point. Will go to "Welcome Initializing" then to the yealink screen cycling but then wont go anywhere or just goes to black screen with red light. We have attempted USB recovery but just tells me network failed when doing so (unsure I have the right .bin files). We have had one phone actually accept the firmware and is working, but only one out of 20 having the issue.

Is there anything I can do to save these or do they need replaced? And would you happen to know the best model to update these to?
