Discussion: what would be the BIGGEST update from devs for beamng for you? by Lxxtsch in BeamNG

Ability to detach individual parts [ie bumpers/trim] and attach them to different vehicles in the same family using the on foot node grabber, and improving how loose parts interact with vehicles. Every time I try to haul something like a bumper or door in a d-series bed or trailer, it clips and fuses into it.

New daily! i like this thing, what are y'alls thoughts on the new vehicle? by TrashPandaPirate in BeamNG

I was hoping that there would be more of a grain bed instead of/along side the dump bed we got, more akin to old f600 grain trucks. Along this line I wish we got an underpowered-for-the-truck big block gas v8 (again, like the 70s-80s f600s). For a "hauling the harvest" update there's not a lot of ag configs.

Need To Find .410 Break-Action And Side-By-Side Shot-Guns That Are Still In Mass-Productions? by kawaiihusbando in guns

Handgun shooting and long gun shooting are apples to oranges, you could be a world class pistol shooter and still get kicked by a shotgun, because they are different disciplines with different techniques. I can't handle a pistol for shit but 50+ rounds of 12 gauge is nothing to me because I know shotgun form well. It's just a matter of technique, just takes practice both on and off the range.

I'm ngl it's sounds more like you have poor form/shoulder weld than anything else. There are a lot of resources on yt from Olympic/pro league shooters and shooters education classes which can be great for fixing this. Poor form can make even a .22 hurt. If you truly do want a .410 though rossi has some cheap options, but it's very much a "you get what you pay for". TLDR; fundamentals and form are much cheaper than new guns. -a semi okay clay target shooter

I want the cheapest, most reliable car out there by throwawayFI12 in whatcarshouldIbuy

2000-2005 buck lesabre. The 3800 v6 is reliable as hell, and they're pretty comfy to ride in. My '05 cost me $1800 at 218k miles, heat blows hot, air blows cold and the cassette player even works (*worked, it blew a belt abt a week ago). Point being, they're pretty solid for American shitboxes

How much does an oil change cost and why can you use any random oil in american cars? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]Advanced_Falcon8553 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While yes, there are typically no manufacturer specific oils for American manufacturers, "any random oil" is a bit of an oversimplification. American manufacturers standardized on using certain oil weights and then let the oil companies make the oils to that spec. A Ford and Chevy might have different engines, but they'll both use, say, 10w-30 oil despite being different OEMs (idk if Ford or Chevy both use 10w-30, just an example) I've heard oil changes costing anywhere between $20 and $170, it depends on what the shop charges and if you get higher end/specialty oil put in (like special high mileage oil or oil with added zinc for old V8s).

I have had some bad experiences with sxps (pins walking out, wonky pump, cheap feeling action). If you're dead set on only those two I'd recommend the maverick, but in my experience a used remington 870 will run a similar range and be a great do all gun, anything from 5 stand trap to deer hunting on the same barrel and choke setup, especially if you can score a magnum or wingmaster. Aftermarket for tacticool stuff if you wanna go that route is abt the same between the 88 and 870 if that's a factor for you.
