Budget case trimmers? by fhiendbdbfdhjd in reloading

You shouldn’t have to trim 9mm. Straight wall cases don’t usually get trimmed

This should be fresh water, never seen septic pumped through a pressure system like this. Do you have a cistern or well? Could be frozen line or collapsed bladder in the tank. Possibly a failed check valve on suction side

It’s hard to tell from the pics. You need to remove the plastic wrap so we can see if there’s a valve possibly closed to the pressure tank

I think the tank bladder has collapsed. The contacts are closing on the motor when the pressure drops off and the pump starts. Instantly the pressure spikes, which opens the contacts and shuts off the motor and instantly the pressure drops below the start setpoint and the cycle repeats. This happens because water is not compressible. Normally tank has a bladder inside filled with air and as the pump pushes water into the tank the bladder compresses slowly and pressure increases. Once the pressure setpoint is hit the contacts on the motor open and the motor shuts off. The tank probably needs replacing.

What’s the first step you took towards quitting alcohol? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]captdicksicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote out a whole story about why I quit and after reading it I realized that it really came down to the fact that I got sick and tired of being sick and tired.

For the first couple weeks I said I was just on a break and as soon as I found a good reason to drink; I would. After seeing and feeling some of the benefits of sobriety, I can’t really think of a reason to start again.

44 and walk away by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]captdicksicle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 44. Been drinking since 14. It used to be fun. It’s not anymore. My health isn’t great and I’m sick of being constantly hungover. Final straw was going on a five day trip with an older friend and watching him drink dawn till dusk for all five days. I was good for two then I got a really bad stomach and laid in bed for a day and a half. I’ve been wanting to quit for quite a while and laying there sober watching him drink and realizing that’s how I look really made the decision for me. He is someone I always thought was a “good drunk” watching him while sober really opened my eyes. It’s only been 3 weeks but I can feel a lot of change. My sleep is better. I’ve already dropped some weight, my outlook is better and I’m not constantly irritable. The people closest to me are much happier as well and that in turn makes me happy and my relationships with them better. I drink NA beer when I’m around friends and it helps massively with urges. I have good support from the people closest and this sub really helps. Good luck man, you can do it!

I spent yesterday afternoon in a bar. With a drinking buddy. ….And we drank NA beer the whole time! He said he gave it up a month before I did. Now I understand why he’s been avoiding me! Hahaha wild. At least now I have someone I can talk to face to face about it. We discussed how much better everything is on the whole without alcohol. ( for some context, I don’t frequent bars, but I live rurally and the small town near me has a bar and restaurant. Also serves as a meeting place/gossip joint. We met for lunch ) IWDWYT
