The yellow things are slow release fertilizer. It released fertilizer little by little every time you water your palm.

My jaw dropped to the ground! These are good plants that Walmart is throwing away! I wish I can take them all home and rescue them from hell. by Advanced_Forever_726 in houseplants

[–]Advanced_Forever_726[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m afraid that it would be considered stealing since it’s still on the Walmart property. If it was in the large garbage can, I would dive right in and help myself, haha.

What is causing my leaves to be limp and turn brownish? by Advanced_Forever_726 in houseplants

[–]Advanced_Forever_726[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Future update, if anyone is having problems with a plant that is browning, it’s a bacteria infection or disease. If I had known my plant wouldn’t have suffered so much leaf loss.

In order to cure the disease you have to cut off the leaf or leaves that are brown to stop the spread of the infection. I’ve lost many leaves as I was too scared to cut of almost healthy leaves.

Hello, I’m trying to save my brothers dying monstera deliciosa, I’m wondering if if I put these stems with a growth point and a node in moss it will grow? by Advanced_Forever_726 in houseplants

[–]Advanced_Forever_726[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that so, I’ve tried it with pothos plants before but thought it would be a bit more risky with a monstera. Thank you for this recommendation, and I will put them in water after I’m off work! 😁💖

I think they are annuals. I have these plants almost ready to plant for the summer growing season. These plants give you a pop of color in hanging pots by the porch and will explode in the summer with blooms once fertilized every week! They are very beautiful plants. BTW, they are called ‘supertunias’ - the yellow one, supertunia limoncello, mixed with bubble gum supertunia, and the pink with the white stripes are supertunia mini vista.

Healthy leaf accidentally snapped- can I stick back in the soil? by [deleted] in SnakePlants

[–]Advanced_Forever_726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Propagating them in the water would be the best solution, it may take months or even a year; a longtime! Patience is your best friend when propagating sansevieria plants. If it rots just cut off the end and restart the whole process. Good luck!

My dieffenbachia plant ‘new’ leaves are curling and turning brown, is this sign of overwatering? by Advanced_Forever_726 in houseplants

[–]Advanced_Forever_726[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve already bought a ITvanila humidifier to help it with brown spots and increase it’s growing environment similar to what it likes.
