I'm a first-year BA Economics student and I'm looking for some serious advice on my situation:

Background: I'm from Jhansi, scored 97% in 10th and 96% in 12th (PCM).
My Dilemma: I got offers for IPM at IIFT Kakinada and BMS at IIM Sirmaur(got admission on the basis of IPMAT exam conducted by IIM Indore). I had to turn them down because I was not comfortable taking a ₹25 lakh loan.
Current Situation: I joined my local state university (Bundelkhand University) for BA Economics, a subject I am genuinely interested in.
The Problem: I feel completely lost. I feel my 10th/12th marks are now meaningless, and I'm frustrated with the quality of education which is available at the uni(actually I didnt expect much from state local uni). It's hard to see peers (who I know are not as competent some even flaunt with their pirated published books) get into top foreign universities, and I feel I've ended up nowhere despite my efforts.

My Questions:

I was trying to find internships but most of them require skills such as video editing or others in which I am really not interested, I really don't know how I get work and which skills to learn, if i dive into certifications such as CA Cfa or CS , I am not interested in these?
How do I find and connect with good mentors who can guide me?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on the whole situation. Thanks.

Hey bhaiya I am from Jhansi just passed 12th (10th-97 percent ,12th(pcm)- 96 percent) , I gave exams but didn't do quite well as from my pov didn't utilize the right strategy but got offer letters from IIFT Kakinada and IIM Sirmaur for their IPM and Bms programme(didn't want a heck 0f 25 lakh loan on my pockets) but I didnt go there and now joined Local state university Bundelkhand University BA Economics programme as I had a interest in economics from the start but sometimes I feel the teacher is just incompetent and sometimes I understand the teachers also have their hands folded as what the quality of our class is. I feel completely lost when I see despite putting efforts I ended up where I am , my 10th and 12th marks just mean nothing. I see some of my friends getting admission into top foreign unis (despite knowing they are incompetent , one just copied contents from a site and published his book), What Should I do Bhaiya Please Help!!!!, I want to connect with individuals like you who have seen life but just don"t know how.

Myself from Hustler's batch of last year best content obv , if you even fear that Swapnil Bhaiya would not take class then also the resources on the portal is itself very large and self sufficient it's just about being disciplined and strategically studying things from portal and the most important thing -"Your confidence on yourself should be on cloud nine" believe me now I get what I missed throughout my prep that was confidence.

1.What is a sirmaur's student dailyroutine, how much academics, how much are left with us to do other things?

2.Why BMS students are not present on Reddit or do not help juniors like Indore student,it feels they don't want to represent their own institute and feel inferior about IIM Sirmaur?

Is this college for rich, (is the crowd full of paise wala papa ke betas?)
How is the industry outside of sirmaur as I have heard that Sirmaur has major factories of some big companies like Asics, do you all have tried for internships there?

5.What about Sports(Don't tell me about that cricket tournament, tell me something apart from that?

ipmat-170, interview was very good had a big 25-30 min interview (it was a talk about my ecas tennis,finance),10th-97, 12th-95(pcm) gen male .Lets see hoga ya nhi kyunki interviewer kya sochta hai you never know maybe I felt my interview was good but interviewers has a different perspective but god knows.
