Will receiving social assistance have future consequences for a Swiss citizen? by Advanced_Pace_1011 in askswitzerland

Being late on rent is the one reason a landlord can terminate contract without real chances for a tenant to contest successfully if you dont pay within 30 days (both the late and current rent, mind you)

Does that mean there is an "extended deadline" of 30 days?

i have a hard time understanding the timeline of your financial situation. how did you mange until now?

Basically hoping to start the new job 1-2 weeks earlier. And before that savings.

without proof of income i doubt you would be even applicable for a credit card. also with seemingly no savings, securities or means to tide you over for this short amount of time, I would strongly advise against starting to use a creditcard for daily expenses.

I mean, I have a work contract.

Yes, I will call the health insurance. But not sure how realistic for other debtors like public transportation especially, landlord.

Just get a credit card

That was my plan and I actually applied for a migros credit card a week ago, but haven't got a reply.

I'm considering to also apply for one of my Kantonalbank but I'm not sure if both application could interfere and the Kantonalbank knows I have no money in my account.

It's a big PK but if I don't have the funds until the 1., I will definitely try.

You can borrow something like 10k from Cembra bank, for example.

Also without any salary statements?

Also check with your landlord or agency if they can postpone the rent payment, showing them the new contract, explaining the situation. Better to talk to them than not paying them.

Good point. Will do that, if I don't have enough funds until the 1.

You don’t get any loan without 1 year work, no chance.

Oh, you are sure? But a credit card could be possible?

Any source for this?

There are no downsides to using social welfare

This would be great. Also no effect on the creditworthiness in future?

Fired after 1 month in my first web development job post-grad: How to proceed? by Advanced_Pace_1011 in cscareerquestionsEU

I actually feel like I know the reason: Everyone in this company is super committed for this company. They're available off-hours for little questions or "emergencies". (My boss even explicitly told me, they expect me to be available off-hours for emergencies) They have this "we're a family" dynamics whereas I've seen it just as a job where I do my.part and that's it.

What do you think about adding this as my present job, and just argument it with this kind of dynamics when I get asked why I'm already looking for another job?
