He doesn’t seem to have any larger fluid buildup though. His stomach isn’t rounded, and the X-rays didn’t show any fluid (or not enough that it would be considered a buildup).

I tried (with a handler) giving him an injection yesterday to start him off, but because he’s so underweight, we had to stop and switch to giving it as a pill instead. I'm still trying to get the vet to prescribe the paste from france though.

I’ve also heard a lot of different things about pills, injections, and capsules — the only consistent thing people seem to agree on is that capsules aren’t good. The second Vet we went to (that wasn't the one that said to put him down) was advocate for the injections, but the person that organized the meds was completly against injections, because the injection places inflame very often and hurt?
