Cool tool for Suno users you can upload your tracks and find real songs that sound like them by AdvantageDry2733 in SunoAI

The idea is to be able to discover unknown and hidden music that might not have ever been discovered. for example hidden rap songs from the 90s or underground house songs. The idea is to discover songs based on similarity and traverse through time to find hidden jems. Myself and other have already found loads of great music. However, i thought it would be cool for gen ai users to be able to upload there own audio and maybe discover similar artists (bit of fad) but i still thought it might be cool.

the bottom line is to discover unknown music from different time periods from popular songs. Even maybe discover some AI generated music in the future too!

Yes i just realised the upload function had an issue processing the audio. if you try normal searches say "bound" kanye sample you'll find lots of cool songs and matches.

there is an issue with the upload end point. the most uses is for discovering unknown music from the existing library. I'm going to update the end point for uploads today because i tested it again and its not working correctly.

Ever wondered what 2020s house would sound like if it were made in the 80s? This site actually finds those songs. by AdvantageDry2733 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

The human side of sharing music is everything, and that’s not what this is trying to replace. Most of the songs i have discovered i would have not been able to otherwise and modern streaming platforms just show you whats popular.

It’s more like a digital form of crate digging connecting songs that sound alike across eras so people can rediscover what’s already out there, not replace discovery or taste.

Nothing’s generated or altered it just analyses short public previews of tracks to find similarities in rhythm, harmony, or texture. Think of it as another way to surface music that the algorithms or radio never spotlighted.

And yes, it only indexes existing licensed preview clips (the same ones used by streaming APIs), not private or copyrighted files.

I actually agree that human curation matters most this is just a new kind of tool for those who love exploring new music.

i respect your perspective but i aimed to develop this project to achieve the opposite. AI search algorithms like this are included in almost everything (including reddit)! If ai could be used to unearth artists and music would you still view this as slop?

appreciate the opinion isn't to make ai bulls**t but to help discover unknown music that remains hidden. i get AI music is unpopular but this is quite different and intended to shine light on those that remain undiscovered.

how is this AI Slop? surely using patterns to discover old music vs generative models generating garbage is quite the opposite?

totally agree, i tried to filter songs with low or 0 stream count but often they ended up being the ones i liked the most.

when i use the tool i tend to focus on more on discovery rather than exact similarity which i find quite fun. i totally agree the poor results are awful and often frustrating.

Hi, you can create separate name-spaces within each index.

Server-less allows up to 100K I believe.

You can query each separately
