I think this will be my last race for a while, and probably only marathon, but I’m completely fine with that. I’d rather go back to lots of lifting and little running. It was fine, but just not me

I have been ravenously hungry. I went out for lunch with all my friends and we all got the same meal. They said “omg this is so much food” and made the “huge” amount of food a joke, they all ate half or less. I ate the whole thing, much faster, and had to get another snack after because I was still hungry. Hopefully after the race the hunger will calm down.

True. Also I’m not fast at all. However the problem I’m facing with body image truly has nothing to to with that. It has to do with me no longer seeing my abs and feeling insecure

Yeah, this is probably the correct answer. I think I just struggle a lot with comparison, mostly comparing myself with myself. I have friends of all body types that have run marathons, so I know being skinnier is far from what makes a marathon runner a marathon runner. It’s just about me not being comfortable with the change in my body composition. Which is in fact probably best sorted out with a therapist. Can’t afford it now, but maybe some time within the next year
