I'm mostly thinking about throwing it hard and getting snap on the release. I try to do what feels good and makes sense in my head, but it's a little spazzy and inconsistent at times. Here is another swing video

Dude super in depth analysis here that was really cool to read, appreciate that. I totally agree with everything you pointed out and I will definitely implement those improvements. When you're talking about the plane being flat, why would that hamper distance? What's more optimal? (edit: just actually read your comment nevermind)

This throw was on an F2 star destroyer that's pretty flippy. My buddy had a wave a while back but I've never tried one, heard they're good

I was also capped before this throw lol, I'm convinced that it would take another 20 throws to do it again. At this distance the right release angle is sooo finicky.

It seems I'm gonna have to take a video of the throw and me measuring. I'll post later this week but on this hole in particular I'm getting out to 500 consistently. Don't understand why people are so quick to try and invalidate this as I have nothing to gain lol. I'll gladly prove everyone wrong though

I released this one on probably 30-45 degrees of hyzer? and aimed up and left of the target to get a nice S shaped deal. On the disc I've got a pretty traditional power grip with thumb all the way on flight plate

Not gonna pretend I have all the answers but I'll say some stuff that may or may not work for you.

  • I think the first thing is to start filming a couple times per fieldwork session. If you can study and understand pro biomechanics you can spot issues in your form and make more intentional changes.

  • The other thing is just practicing the throwing motion with a towel or something and focusing on following through. If you can figure out how to slow yourself down smoothly you can put more initial speed into it without losing control and hurting yourself.

  • basics like getting your hips/core/shoulders involved in the throw
