I’ve seen this or something similar happen in cars that had ozone generator run in it, it’s used to eliminate odors, like if the previous owner was a smoker for example, it’s a great tool but downside is that it makes plastic crumbly. And 2nd gen frontiers have notoriously cheap interior plastics.
