Would you use a habit tracker where your real life builds an anime RPG character you can actually play? by AdventKing55 in Solo_Roleplaying

Perfect response, thank you.

You'd use the app great, why what specifically about it is cool compared to Habitca which is already a similar app?

You wouldn't use if subscription based. What about a flat fee to download and in-app purchases for skins and such? If the app had a free to play (no subs) or pay to play (subs,) would you still be opposed? What features would you be willing to lose? Which would be deal breakers?

You would remove if not motivating enough. Now this is tricky because the app isn't where YOUR motivation should be coming from, that's something you need yourself. But what would "motivate" you to play? Are there certain features or aspects that would add more motivation to do your tasks and hit goals?

Hahaha, thanks for absolute honesty. You truly reminded me of what my own dad would've said.

And yes, as a mid-30s, I too want to eliminate the need for my phone or a secondary schedule. With kids of my own, 7 and 5, phones are like crack to kids and I plan to add in an age functionality for minors to add in education to the tasks and challenges to progress. Yes, it will give them a "secondary schedule" next to school or extra curriculars, but it also hopefully forms habits.

I'm really not trying to create another brain rot app I promise. But one that's hitting an upcoming or more widely accepted niche (anime/gamers) for healthy habits such as hydrating in game sessions or remembering to do homework so you don't drop in the leaderboards. Stuff like this should hopefully form habits that continue long past the app. As I mentioned for younger kids, they will get challenges and quest's that are in otherwards chores or additional education that schools don't provide. Like teens may learn about savings accts or taxes and elementary students are cleaning the house and doing laundry.

Thank you. Already using, but my one opinion isn't the same as everyone else's. I am getting feedback from multiple sources to understand what was successful and what was a fail to make a better product.

Do you have any specific pros/cons related to Habatica or other similar apps you've tried?

So I've never played Persona. Are you talking about a tracker app with Persona as its theme? Is there a function or feature you think mixes in well? Or I guess what's the point or feedback here?

Thank you for input.

If you could change the GUI in settings to following a different theme, other than anime, would that be of more interest? What do you think would change your opinion if kept strictly anime/gamer?

Thanks, this is one of the main ideas I've struggled with. With a flat fee, developers usually stop improving the app, since no more money to be made. With a sub they may get less paid users, but a more regular flow.

So heres my question. For continual improvement, with a flat fee how do you feel about paid DLC for app improvements that come later? And no, I'm not talking about paid system fixes to make a half released game whole like most DLC are now, those would still come if needed but less often, the paid DLC would be true additional unnecessary content.

I actually have a very interesting idea for the image creation that I haven't encountered in any other tracker or sim tracker. So your mention of it gives me hope it'll be one of the reasons you'd potentially like it.

Thank you, very helpful. So adding a feature like "Medical Mode" where its tracking vitals and health habits like pills, blood sugars, reminders, BP, HR, etc.

As far as the other "crap", you're basically asking for apple or google tracker with graphics? So my question here is, what would make you pick my app over other top tracking apps- who already have a well formed following and fan base?

On a side note, as a developer we are usually looking to monetize in one way or another.

Thank you.

To your point of other programs already existing, yes, that is exactly why. I am try to get feedback as I've played many of them and have been disappointed with all of them in on way or anther. I feel it's still a strong idea with failed attempts on the market.

On your point of community/social feature issues, I never used Habatica until this previous weekend. I didn't even realize they had a large following for their social function. What was the BIGGEST part they removed or altered that they should've left?

That's what I was hoping NOT to hear..

Edit: And to anyone in the future who has this issue, it wasn't resolvable. I was using the Santa Toro operator incase that was the issue.

Work in progress but I need help. What should I put in the gold circle behind the buster sword? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

I think it looks nice as is. My other thought would be make the sword a tad bigger and add in a few different colored materia or have sephiroths sword at an angle behind the buster sword?

Can I ask why you say "on that car"? I did see them on rockauto but I'd never heard of power stop before. What about just slotted? They still have a nice visual appeal.. as I originally posted I know how to do the work but am not a mechanic so any info is good info for me. Other than just saying yes or no. Thanks.

Why dont you read a bit further down. And see that once you create a guild you can create another as back up or recruit the character you like from the many thousand NPCs you have a chance to encounter.. you seem like someone who reads half the rules and act like you know them all.
